West Point Association of Graduates

West Point Association of Graduates Official alumni association of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point Military Academy, and supporting and serving its graduates.

The West Point Association of Graduates is the alumni association and the official fundraising organization of the United States Military Academy at West Point. Its mission is to serve West Point and the "Long Gray Line" of its graduates. The West Point Association of Graduates was founded in 1869 to reunite Academy graduates who found themselves on opposing sides during the American Civil War. To

day, it continues to strengthen the bonds of the Long Gray Line through assistance to graduates, West Point Societies, and USMA Classes worldwide. Located in Herbert Alumni Center at West Point, the Association is the focal point for returning alumni. As a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation, its philanthropic pursuits maintain a margin of excellence for Cadets attending the Academy. WPAOG Purpose

A new memorial in Normandy now stands in tribute to the more than 150 West Point graduates who led and fought during the D-Day invasion. Unveiled at France’s La Fière Memorial Park, the West Point D-Day Memorial recognizes the extraordinary leadership, sacrifice, and valor of these young officers who helped shape history on June 6, 1944.

Their legacy endures, not only in stone, but in the generations of leaders they continue to inspire.

As we mark just one month until America’s 250th anniversary celebration, the West Point Society of Williamsburg reflected on the ideals of leadership, service, and sacrifice that have shaped our nation since its founding.

This year’s West Point Society of Williamsburg Founders Day gathering brought together 89 alumni, families, and future cadet candidates to celebrate the enduring legacy of West Point and the leaders it continues to develop in service to the country.

A highlight of the evening was a special appearance by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation’s George Washington reenactor, who spoke about the strategic importance of West Point during the Revolutionary War and Washington’s vision for a professional officer corps, a vision that continues today through the United States Military Academy.

As we look ahead to , events like these remind us that the values of Duty, Honor, Country remain as important today as they were at our nation’s founding.

Congratulations to the 45 exceptional West Point cadets that earned some of the nation’s most prestigious academic honors and scholarships.

Their achievements reflect the academic excellence, leadership, service, and sense of purpose cultivated at West Point and are strengthened through programs like the Brigadier General Peter M. Dawkins 1959 Scholars Program and Technical Scholars Program, made possible through support.

We are proud to help support opportunities that empower future Army leaders to pursue advanced academic, scientific, and medical pathways in service to the Nation.

Drone innovation has taken off at West Point. With support from funding, the Robotics Research Center is mobilizing cadets, faculty, and Army partners to turn drone operations into real-world capability, not a future aspiration.

At the center is Project MARS (Medical Autonomous Resupply System), a cadet-driven effort using drones to deliver critical medical supplies when terrain, distance, or danger make traditional methods too slow or risky. What began as a proof of concept is now scaling into operational capability.

More than 1,200 plebes each year build and fly drones as part of the core curriculum. Cadets majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science go even further, engineering their own systems and integrating drone technology across academic and interdisciplinary capstone projects in engineering and cyber.

In modern conflict, drones are reshaping how the Army fights, moves, and saves lives. Cadets are not just studying that reality, they are building it.
