West Point Association of Graduates Official alumni association of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point Military Academy, and supporting and serving its graduates.

The West Point Association of Graduates is the alumni association and the official fundraising organization of the United States Military Academy at West Point. Its mission is to serve West Point and the "Long Gray Line" of its graduates. The West Point Association of Graduates was founded in 1869 to reunite Academy graduates who found themselves on opposing sides during the American Civil War. To

day, it continues to strengthen the bonds of the Long Gray Line through assistance to graduates, West Point Societies, and USMA Classes worldwide. Located in Herbert Alumni Center at West Point, the Association is the focal point for returning alumni. As a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation, its philanthropic pursuits maintain a margin of excellence for Cadets attending the Academy. WPAOG Purpose

Today, West Point celebrated the dedication and ribbon cutting of the Michie Stadium Preservation Project, marking a transformational moment for one of the Academy’s most important landmarks.

As the number one priority of the West Point Ready Campaign and a top facilities priority under three Superintendents, this project represents years of vision, determination, and commitment to the future of West Point.

For generations Michie Stadium, Preserved by USAA, has been a place where the West Point experience comes to life. The new East Stands help secure a future in which generations of cadets will continue to pursue excellence in a place that inspires achievement, builds a winning culture, and serves as a gathering place for the Army West Point community and fans.

We are grateful to cornerstone donors Lee Anderson ’61, Doug Black ’86, Bob Eisiminger ’88, Bill Foley ’67, Tony Guzzi ’86, Rob Healy ’86, Anthony Noto ’91, and Vinnie Viola ’77 and everyone who stepped forward to support this project. Ten members of the USMA Class of 2028 spending the fall semester at USAFA marked an important milestone in their West Point journey by taking the Affirmation Oath at Polaris Hall during a ceremony hosted by the West Point Society of Pikes Peak.

Because exchange cadets miss the official ceremony at West Point, they were joined in Colorado by members of the Class of 1978, their 50-Year Affiliation Class. LTG (R) Thomas P. Bostick ’78, WPAOG Distinguished Graduate, delivered remarks and administered the oath and graduates of the Class of 1978 presented 50-Year Affiliation coins to the cadets.

WPAOG thanks the West Point Society of Pikes Peak and all volunteers who made the evening possible.

Held during Memphis Homecoming and Military Appreciation Game, this event will bring together classmates, cadets, Old Grads, and Army fans from across the region for a prime pregame experience at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

Expect a large catered tailgate on Tiger Lane featuring Corky’s BBQ, spirit activities, and the opportunity to hear from the new USMA leader team.

Seventy-five years ago today, the Mutual Defense Treaty between the United States and the Republic of the Philippines was officially commemorated. Earlier this year, GEN Ronald Clark ’88, Commander U.S. Army Pacific; BG James Bartholomees ’95, Commander of the 25 Infantry Division; COL Lou Kangas ’00; and MAJ Kayla Orvik ’12 visited the memorial of Fidel V. Ramos ’50, 12th President of the Philippines, to honor the 80th anniversary of U.S.- PHL bilateral relations , as well as the 75th anniversary of the signing of the Mutual Defense Treaty.

“Visible through the connections of the Long Gray Line, the partnership stands stronger than ever,” says Orvik, the USARPAC Security Cooperation Division Southeast Asia Country Director. To mark both historic milestones, a yearlong campaign of celebratory events has been occurring across both nations.

Grads, families, cadets, and those serving around the world are encouraged to unite before sunrise in their own way, through a walk, hike, run, or moment of reflection, to demonstrate one promise: You Are Not Alone.

The date, 9/8, reminds us of 988, the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, and the importance of knowing where to turn when we or someone we care about need help.

This annual visible expression is about reaching across classes, communities, and generations. It is a reminder that leadership does not end when we take off the uniform. It continues in the way we care for one another.
