Alma Cooper .cooper continues to redefine what it means to lead with purpose, grace, and excellence. From the legacy of United States Military Academy to the global stage of a TED Talk, she is showing us that our voices matter in every room we step into.

To stand on that stage at Stanford University while pursuing her master’s degree is a reminder that growth never stops and that we can walk in multiple callings at once.
This is what representation looks like. This is what breaking barriers looks like. And this is what happens when preparation meets purpose.

Keep speaking. Keep leading. Keep showing the next generation what’s possible. 💫 Congratulations Alma our 73rd Miss USA

What a way to close out Women’s History Month.

The Maryland Commission for Women has named eight extraordinary women to the 2026 class of the Maryland Women’s Hall of Fame, honoring trailblazers whose leadership, achievements, and service have shaped communities across the state of Maryland and beyond.

Second Lieutenant Emily J.T. Perez: A groundbreaking U.S. Army officer and community servant, Lt. Perez earned historic recognition as the first African American and first Latina woman to serve as cadet command sergeant major. She became the first African American female officer in U.S. military history to be killed in combat and the first female graduate of the United States Military Academy to lose her life in the Iraq War, marking a profound moment in the history of women’s service on the front lines.

I have finally earned my class ring and I am surrounded by all the people who helped me get to this point. I appreciate my family, blood or not, who have accept me for exactly who I am. If you were to ask me my junior year of high school if this five year plan was going having me being a West Point firstie. I would’ve asked you “what even is West Point?”. I’m so grateful for the resilience that my mother has instilled in me and I’m ready to complete This part of my journey. And yes my ring is red and blue ❤️💙.
