So many people pour their hearts into making downtown a special place - from employees and business owners who run shops and restaurants, to police officers, firefighters and City crews who work behind the scenes to help keep our district safe and clean.

It’s the artists, musicians, and vendors who bring creativity and character to our district. It’s the property owners who invest in historic buildings, the volunteers who pitch in, and countless people whose work helps downtown and Antique Alley-West Monroe thrive.

Congratulations to Rebekah and Nick of Courtyard on Cotton Gallerie on officially becoming downtown property owners! 🎉

When faced with the choice of retiring and moving to Tuscany or staying home and investing in their community, they chose Downtown West Monroe! 🥹💕 They purchased the building their gallery calls home and have created a destination where art and creativity thrive.

In just three short years since opening their first gallery space, they’ve continued to grow and expand along the way. They now occupy a space roughly three times the size of the original gallery. We’re thrilled to see that growth lead to an even larger investment in Downtown West Monroe as they transition from tenants to property owners! 🙌

Come celebrate ✨Dolly✨ with us tonight!💖👑 Chancie Neal will pay tribute to Dolly Parton as part of tonight’s Ouachita Live set. We’re excited she and her band have decided to honor such a musical legend in downtown. Join us from 7-9 PM in Alley Park! 🤠

Please bring something for the donation jar to help support our artists. This show is in conjunction with the West Monroe Gar Rodeo happening on the Ouachita River tonight through Saturday.

Chancie is a platinum-selling country songwriter, Nashville recording artist and world-champion barrel racer known for crowd-connecting songs. A Calhoun native, she’s collaborated with artists including Luke Combs, Jake Owen, Kix Brooks, and Luke Bryan. She has headlined PBR Nashville and Fort Worth’s PBR World Finals.

Concerts happen the last Friday of the month from Apr-Sept, 7-9pm in Downtown West Monroe’s Alley Park. Food trucks and spirits on-site. Bring a chair.

TONIGHT’s Ouachita Live concert kicks off the West Monroe Gar Rodeo that’ll be happening through Saturday on the Ouachita River.

Country artist Chancie Neal is including many Dolly tunes in her Ouachita Live set tonight! Remember to bring a chair and money for the donation jar to support our artists.

The Downtown West Monroe demonstration is officially underway!

Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, City crews and CPEX, the temporary traffic patterns, parking configurations, trees, planters and other demonstration features are now in place.

As you travel downtown, please slow down, follow all posted signs and use extra caution while everyone adjusts to the new routes. Remember, this is a temporary trial run designed to let our community experience the proposed changes before any permanent decisions are made.

We encourage you to come downtown, try it out and share specific feedback by scanning the QR codes posted throughout the demonstration area. Let us know what is working, what is not and what you would like to see moving forward.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we put your vision into action. We are excited for our community to experience the demonstration and help shape what comes next for Downtown West Monroe!

You spoke. We listened. Now, we’re turning your vision into action!

This weekend, the City of West Monroe will begin bringing the Downtown West Monroe temporary demonstration to life. The features being tested—including calmer traffic patterns, clearer crosswalks, additional parking and more welcoming public spaces—reflect feedback gathered from our community over several years through the downtown master-planning process, online surveys and public meetings.
Funded through a Louisiana Main Street grant, with technical guidance from the Center for Planning Excellence (CPEX), this project allows the City to test these ideas using temporary, low-cost materials before any permanent decisions are made.

For the next 4–6 weeks, we invite you to experience the demonstration, visit our downtown businesses and tell us what works—and what could work better. Your input helped shape this opportunity, and your experience will help determine what comes next.

This is your downtown, your vision and your opportunity to help build an even safer, more welcoming Downtown West Monroe! 💚
