♻️ Did you know? You don't have to make a trip to the Recycling Center to recycle your common household items!

The West Monroe Recycling Center's Mobile Recycling Trailer is available every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the public parking lot at the corner of Trenton and Wood Streets near the flower sculpture in Downtown West Monroe.

We accept:
✅ Cardboard
✅ Plastic water bottles
✅ Aluminum cans
✅ Glass

It's free, easy, and open to the public!

May was another strong month at the West Monroe Recycling Center! ♻️

Thanks to the continued efforts of our community, more than 2,400 vehicles visited the Recycling Center in May, helping divert thousands of pounds of recyclable materials from local landfills.

And here's an exciting milestone: May 27 was our busiest day of 2026 so far, with 282 vehicles visiting the Recycling Center! Thank you for doing your part to make a difference—one load at a time! 🌎💚

Friendly Recycling Reminder ♻️

Did you know the West Monroe Recycling Center accepts more than just cardboard and plastic?
We also accept common household glass bottles and jars, along with:

• No. 1 plastics
• No. 2 plastics
• Cardboard
• Aluminum
• Metal cans
• Glass bottles and jars

📍 607 Grantham Avenue

Hours of Operation:
Monday, Wednesday & Friday | 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
First Saturday of each month | 9 a.m. – Noon

Please remember to rinse containers before dropping them off and flatten cardboard boxes when possible.

In observance of Memorial Day, all City of West Monroe offices will be closed on Monday, May 25. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26.

As we pause for the holiday, we also take time to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, service, and dedication will never be forgotten. We wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.

If you didn't realize, the Recycling Center is a drive-though facility, meaning you never have to get out of your car! Our friendly staff retrieves recyclables from your vehicle and sort them. ♻️

Stop by on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday between 7 am and 5 pm.

A strong month for recycling in West Monroe! ♻️

In April alone, 2,386 vehicles came through the Recycling Center, helping collect 22,868 pounds of cardboard, 1,260 pounds of tin cans, and 9.30 tons of glass. The busiest day? 242 vehicles served in a single day.

As we keep that momentum going, here is your reminder that Saturday Recycling is tomorrow, May 2 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the West Monroe Recycling Center (607 Grantham Avenue).

Bring your items, drive through, and let’s keep making an impact—one load at a time!
