It’s !
Check out this photo from 1949 showing Boilermakers in the Purdue Creamery buying cones for five cents a scoop. The creamery operated out of Smith Hall, which was funded through a $50,000 gift from William C. Smith of Williamsport, Indiana, to instruct students in modern dairying.
A nickel for a scoop sounds pretty sweet today! 🍨
