This week we're celebrating two longtime friends of 2-4-1, Bradley and Kathy Hoffman.
Bradley and Kathy have been part of the 2-4-1 family for years, supporting our belief that kids need more opportunities to play, explore and discover what they love.
More recently, they had the vision to help us think beyond sport. Through Friends of Michael Friends of Michael, they helped us bring music into our TOP Self™ approach to social-emotional learning and launch our first-ever 2-4-1 Music & Movement program at Maria Sanchez Elementary School Rocky
More than 30 kids participated in our pilot last spring, and this year we're hoping to give as many as 60 kids the opportunity to participate!
The model is pretty simple. Two days of music, supported by Friends of Michael, two days of sport, supported by Bradley, Kathy and the Hoffman Auto Group and a fifth day of free play where kids can choose music, sport or both.
Different activities, same goal. Give kids more ways to play, connect, build confidence and discover what they love.
We're also incredibly grateful for the longtime support of Hoffman Auto Group, which helps fund scholarships to bring 2-4-1 sport programming to kids at Kingswood Oxford Kingswood Oxford School and throughout Greater Hartford.
And Bradley and Kathy don't just support this work from the sidelines. As you can see, Bradley has been known to jump in to fence, play and even join the team cheer with our kids!
