FCA is back up & running at Harrison High School! ✝️

This morning, the student-led group discussed the importance of forgiveness and the freedom we find when we let our grudges go and walk the pathway of forgiveness. The room was full today!

If you have a student at HHS, we encourage them to join FCA on Thursday mornings at 11:15. 💚

Are you ready to be the hands and feet of Christ in a very simple and practical way for the Harrison community? Here it is!

Check out volunteer opportunities at the brand new Thrift Center in Harrison, OH that benefits Christ's Loving Hands ministry. They do so much for the community through food distribution, clothing, rent/utility assistance and so much more. You can also support this ministry by donating or purchasing items. Who doesn’t like a bargain especially when it’s for a good cause?

The doors are officially OPEN at New City Thrift, we are a non-profit thrift store and we need volunteers who are ready to jump in and help!

Every shift you serve helps us welcome shoppers, organize merchandise, process donations and turn gently-used items into meaningful support for the work of Christ's Loving Hands. Whether you enjoy working with people, organizing items or helping behind the scenes, there is a place for you.

Volunteer shifts are available:
Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays
9:30am–1pm
1-4pm
4-6:30pm

Choose the day and shift that work best for you. You can volunteer once, once a month or become one of our regulars. Every hour you give helps us keep New City Thrift running and serving our community!

Ready to jump in? Click the link below to view available shifts and sign up ⬇️⬇️⬇️ (in comments)

The doors are open, the store is busy and we would love to serve alongside you!

If you’ve ever wondered “What is my purpose?” or questioned whether God can use the difficult chapters of your story, this episode is for you.

Tune in as Andy sits down with one of our new coaches, Scott, for a powerful conversation about purpose, calling, faith, grief, and redemption

Scott shares the story of his late wife Jenna, her battle with cancer, and the faith that carried them through the suffering. One truth from this converstaion: “Everything does not happen for a reason, but the Lord will use it."

God can redeem what we never would have chosen, and He can use our experiences to impact someone else.

BREAKING: A landmark win for kids' online safety 📱

Meta just reached a settlement with 47 states, D.C., and U.S. territories over claims it knowingly built addictive platforms for kids — agreeing to pay up to $17.1 billion in penalties and overhaul how teens use Instagram and Facebook.

What's changing for teen accounts:
→ 2-hour daily time limit across FB + Instagram (parent permission required to lift it)
→ No access midnight–6am; notifications silenced 10pm–7am
→ Likes hidden by default
→ "Extreme" beauty filters blocked
→ Option for a non-algorithmic feed + autoplay off
→ Stronger age verification + new parental controls

D.C. Attorney General Brian Schwalb called it "a monumental public health victory for young people" — and noted Meta won't be the last platform to settle.

The deal still needs a judge's sign-off, but the message is clear: the tide is turning on Big Tech's grip on kids' attention.

This is why Wait Until 8th exists: to give kids a childhood before the algorithm gets a vote. The wind is finally at our backs!

This morning was Week 2 of East Central Middle School Synergy where we worked together to lift the name of Jesus up and share Him with others. Just a fun morning getting to know each other better and starting our day off right with a little Dunkin and a whole lot of Jesus! ☝️🙌If you have a ECMS student, we'd love to have them join us next Thursday at 7:30 in the ECMS Aux gym.

This morning we invited a few of our Synergy alum to come back and share some of their favorite memories and why these middle schoolers should keep coming back. What our alum didn't know is that we also wanted to pray over them and all our Synergy alum who now take the light of Christ into East Central High School and beyond.

What a great way to start the day-lifting up the name of Jesus with some friends!❤️

Last week at East Central Middle School, we had 104 students and 10 adults at the first week of Synergy, our before school Bible study. Out of those 100+ kids, 20 different churches were represented with 30% of the students with no real church home at all. What an amazing demonstration of Ephesians 4:3 where Paul writes, "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace". Will you join us in praying for these students especially those not connected to a church at all. Will you also pray that we see many more new faces again tomorrow! We want this to be a place where all ECMS students feel loved and welcomed.

For over 15 yrs, ECMS students have gathered before school each week to connect and grow in their relationship with Christ and each other. This week we've invited some of our Synergy alum to come back and share with students. If you have a HS student who used to attend Synergy and would like to join us, have them meet us in the ECMS Aux gym at 7:30.

Career or calling—do you know the difference? 👀

In Christ, our purpose isn’t simply about finding the right job or achieving the next goal—it’s about learning to hear God, trust His direction, and faithfully follow where He leads.

One of our newest coaches, Robert Reese, steps behind the mic to join Andy for a powerful conversation on calling, purpose, surrender, and obedience. They dive into the topics and talk about what it looks like to obey God, even when the path doesn’t look anything like what we expected.

🎙Listen to this episode and ask yourself: What might God be calling you to in this season?

Welcome back to the Strong Dads podcast! In this episode, Andy Dalt...
