Feeling privledged to speak about the challenges facing our EMS services at the Western Chester County Council of Governments meeting last night. Thanks to our local elected officials for coming out to Honey Brook and their commitment to keeping our community safe.

Awesome to see our neighbors to the west also embrace preservation, heritage and community!!!!! Preserving our land means preserving our values.

We believe in that in Lancaster County. And we believe Lancaster County farms should be owned by Lancaster County farm families. We are making sure they stay that way.

Today at our weekly commissioners meeting, we approved the preservation of three more farms. This will preserve the farmland forever.

- A farm in Salisbury Township that is 55 acres
- A farm in Penn Township that is 39 acres.
- A farm in Fulton Township that is 50 acres

Today we also approved two Next Generation Farm Loans through the Economic Development Company of Lancaster County. These help family farms pass to the next generation of farmers and keeps them in the family.

- A farm in Brecknock Township that is 48 acres
- A farm in Ephrata Township that is 66 acres.

Altogether, Lancaster County has preserved approximately 126,000 acres of farmland between County government and the non-profit Lancaster Farmland Trust.

We are the #1 county in the NATION for farmland preservation.

We are protecting our food supply.
We are protecting our land.
We are protecting our future.
We are protecting our home.

Let’s make Christmas a little brighter for our neighbors. The Reason for the Season.

Christmas Promise registration closes Sunday, November 1. If you've got kids (birth to 18) who live in or go to school in the Twin Valley School District and this Christmas is looking tight, there's still time to get their wishlists in.

Here's how it works. You fill out a wishlist for each child, and a sponsor from right here in the community shops it. Then on December 12 you pick the gifts up, wrap them with us, and they go under the tree from you.

How busy is the Honey Brook Community Library? In September 2026, we had, on average, 138 people come through our doors each day for a weekly average of 828 library visits per week. Your community library is a busy place!
