We would like to share that The Rio Grande Valley Apartment Association (RGVAA) has named Patricia Villasenor-Sandell as its new Association Executive! A seasoned nonprofit leader with more than two decades of experience in organizational development, strategic partnerships, and team leadership. Patricia will guide RGVAA into its next chapter of growth while advancing its mission to support and strengthen the region’s rental housing industry and the communities it serves.
Patricia most recently served in development at the Alzheimer’s Association, where she led major fundraising initiatives and campaigns to benefit communities locally and nationally. She also held leadership roles with the Education Foundation of South Texas ISD, Kaplan College, and the American Cancer Society, where she built strong stakeholder relationships, led high-performing teams, and increased the organization's impact across the region, consistently focusing on development and fundraising to further community impact.
“I am honored to join the Rio Grande Valley Apartment Association during a transformative time,” said Patricia, Association Executive. “I’m focused on partnering with our members, collaborators, and community leaders to move our work forward and build long-term value for the Rio Grande Valley.”
The RGVAA is excited to welcome Patricia and looks forward to the growth and progress of the association under her leadership. We encourage our members to give her time to get acclimated to the RGVAA and to join us in supporting her as she begins this new chapter.
