Wayzata Lodge held our Annual Lake Minnetonka boat cruise yesterday evening on board "The Lady of the Lake". It was a fun fraternal and family event and a perfect night to be on the best lake in the metro.

This evening, 41 Brothers from Mound, Wayzata, Excelsior, and 11 other Lodges joined in for the 2nd annual Lodge on the Lake. It was Wayzata Lodge's turn to open a special Lodge meeting on the waters of Lake Minnetonka this year. We all met at Mound Lodge first for an awesome meal before making our way to our four pontoons and set a course to the undisclosed location. We then all opened Lodge, listened to three great LEO presentations, and enjoyed each others company and fellowship thereafter at Surfside Bar and Grill. We would like to thank Mound Lodge for hosting again this year and for all the Brothers who were able to join the Lake Lodges for this unique experience once again.

On Wednesday evening, August 12th: the three lake Lodges of Lake Minnetonka are uniting again for the 2nd annual Lodge on the Lake.

Dinner at Mound Lodge at 5:30 PM. Procession to the Surfside Park Boat Landing at 6:30 PM. 4 Pontoons (and a Tyler on a fishing boat) will then set out to an undisclosed location and have an open EA Lodge on the water, consisting of three special LEOs from PGM John Gann, WB Chris Wendover, and DD of the three Lodges WB Hunter Pettit. After closing, we'll return to shore and continue the fellowship at Surfside Bar & Grill.

Limited seating and availability. $20 dinner & seats are reserved for only Brothers from Mound, Excelsior, and Wayzata Lodges, as well as invited dignitaries from the Grand Lodge of MN at this time.

It should be a great night of masonic education, fellowship, and fun as we all purify ourselves in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.

Last night, Wayzata Lodge hosted its Annual Awards Night to the public, where we honored and celebrated many worthy and deserving young individuals. Eight scholarships were awarded (unfortunately, two recipients could not be there) to local high school graduates from across the west metro with their families and friends in attendance. Grand Master Shawn Carrick was also present and assisted with the awards ceremony.

We also had roughly 50 Brothers in attendance from 6 different Lodges for the dinner, Awards ceremony, and Lodge meeting thereafter.

Congratulations to everyone, and thank you all for a great and memorable night.

Earlier this morning, 14 volunteers from Wayzata Lodge placed over 1000 flags at Fort Snelling National Cemetery for Memorial Day for the third consecutive year. It was a solemn and rewarding experience. Thank you to those who volunteered their time and thank you to all who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

We had another excellent Entered Apprentice Degree at Wayzata No. 205 last week where we initiated another Brother into MN Freemasonry. Everyone did a wonderful job, especially our sitting JW, Brian Burgner, who was sitting in the East for the first time. Thank you to all who helped with the degree and congratulations and welcome to Freemasonry, Joe!
