Come help at the 3000 Acts of Kindness warehouse! ☺️

What will you do❓

Sort donations and organize them by type, gender, and size. Everything will then be packed and ready to be transported to the Minneapolis Convention Center for our December 14 event.

Choose from several dates and times to find a volunteer shift that works for you. Check back often, as more shifts will be added as we get closer to the event!
Current dates are:

➡ Friday, October 9, from 9 a.m. to noon
➡️ Saturday, October 24, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
➡ Friday, November 6, from 9 a.m. to noon
➡ Saturday, November 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
➡ Friday, December 4, from 9 a.m. to noon

Here's something most people don't realize: losing your home doesn't just cost you a roof. It costs you an address.

And without an address, you can't fill out a job application. Without a phone, you can't get a callback. Without a shower, an interview feels impossible before it even starts.

It's a locked door behind a locked door. And stigma keeps piling more locks on—assumptions that someone without housing is lazy, or dangerous, or made bad choices to get there. Those assumptions become one more barrier standing between someone and their next chapter.

3000 Acts Of Kindness exists to help pick that lock. One conversation, one resource, one moment of being treated like a person and not a problem.

Brew Park is collecting pet supplies for the four-legged companions of our neighbors experiencing homelessness on behalf of Coated In Love and our 3000 Acts of Kindness event outreach.

Now through December 1, stop by with new pet food or new and gently used supplies, including collars, leashes, boots, sweaters, and other pet essentials.

Now through December 1, Camp Bow Wow is collecting pet supplies to support the beloved companions of people experiencing homelessness on behalf of Coated In Love and our 3000 Acts of Kindness event outreach.

You can help by donating new pet food or new and gently used items such as:

Wear black. Bring warmth. 🖤

We’re teaming up with MartinPatrick 3 for their 9th Annual All Black Event to help make sure our neighbors experiencing homelessness have something warm to wear this winter.

Join us Wednesday, September 16 from 5–7:30 PM and come dressed in black with a new or gently used winter coat to donate to 3000 Acts of Kindness.

Every coat collected will go directly toward our December outreach, where guests can receive a warm coat, boots, sleeping bags, hygiene kits, a haircut, a hot meal, access to 80+ service organizations, and more, all at no cost.

Because a coat is more than something warm to wear. It’s one small way to remind someone in our community that they are seen, valued, and cared for. ❤️

Fashion with a purpose. 🖤

We’re honored to see Coated In Love and our partnership with MartinPatrick 3 featured in Minnesota Monthly!

On September 16, fashion and philanthropy will share the runway at MartinPatrick 3’s 9th Annual All Black Attire Fashion Show. While guests come dressed head-to-toe in black, we’re asking them to bring something that can make a very real difference this winter: coats, hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

Every coat collected will go directly to guests at 3000 Acts of Kindness on December 14. And the need is big. Our goal is to collect at least 3,000 coats this year so fewer of our neighbors have to face a Minnesota winter without one.

As Danielle Igbanugo shared with Minnesota Monthly, giving back doesn’t always have to mean giving money. You can give a coat. You can give your time. You can simply show up for someone who needs it. ❤️

We’re so grateful to MartinPatrick 3, Richard Moody, and everyone helping us bring a little more warmth to our community this year.

📣 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: WE’RE STILL LOOKING FOR OUR VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR!

It takes a lot of people to bring 3000 Acts of Kindness to life. In fact, nearly 1,000 volunteers come together to help make this incredible day possible.

And we’re still looking for the person who can help lead them. ❤️

Coated In Love is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team in an unpaid volunteer leadership role supporting our 2026 3000 Acts of Kindness event.

As our Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll help:
❤️ Communicate with and support our volunteers leading up to the event
❤️ Coordinate volunteer schedules and event-day coverage
❤️ Help develop and implement volunteer training
❤️ Serve as a resource for volunteers and answer questions
❤️ Coordinate with corporate and large-group volunteers

Time commitment:
August–October: approximately 2–5 hours/week
November–December: approximately 5–10 hours/week
Event date: December 14, 2026

If you have experience coordinating volunteers, strong organizational and communication skills, and a heart for serving our community, we would love to connect with you.
