Another local author we are lucky and excited to host at our Local Author Fair on Saturday, September 26th 2026, from 11:00am - 1:00pm, is Trace Conger!

Trace is an award-winning crime, thriller, and suspense author in the Cincinnati area. He has 2 series: Connor Harding (Thriller) and Mr. Finn (P.I.), and a few standalone novels. Each offers its own atmosphere and intrigue, and neither disappoints.

If you are looking for a new series, a good place to start is his award-winning debut novel, THE SHADOW BROKER. 'The Shadow Broker' is the first book in the Mr. Finn series, and it won a Shamus Award for Best Crime Novel.

A new registration list begins on Tuesday, September 8th, for our Genre Exploration Book Club! Spots are very limited, so if you are interested, call early to be added to the list.

This group meets monthly on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 5:30pm - 6:15pm. Each month we experience a different genre, so if you need to break out of your reading slump or comfort zone, this is the group for you! This is intended for adults 18 years old or older.

Anime and Manga Club returns next week on Thursday, September 3rd, from 3:00pm - 4:00pm.

Stop by the front desk with your deposit to be added to the list. You will get your deposit back on the day of the program. This program is intended for older audiences (16 and older).

Step into the shadows of the past with the Museum at the Friends Home as they present an accessible Historic Haunts. During this hour and a half program, you'll hear fascinating, historically rooted tales drawn from the Village’s rich history. Perfect for history buffs and thrill seekers alike, the program blends fact and folklore, featuring ghostly encounters, mysterious happenings, and enduring legends unique to our area.
