💙✨ Thankful Thursday Spotlight: Fairiby Frye ✨💙

Today, we proudly recognize Fairiby Frye, Lead Advocacy Coordinator for Southeast Georgia CASA, for her unwavering dedication to children, families, and communities across our region.

For the past five years, Fairiby has been a powerful voice for children in foster care, ensuring their best interests are represented and their needs are heard. Through her leadership, countless children and families in Bacon, Brantley, Charlton, Coffee, Pierce, and Ware counties have received support, advocacy, and hope during some of life's most challenging moments.

Her commitment extends far beyond her role at Action Pact. As Chairman of the Board for Brantley County Family Connections, Fairiby has demonstrated extraordinary leadership, especially during times of crisis. During the wildfires, she worked tirelessly to coordinate donations, connect resources, and support families in need and her impact continues today.

Fairiby embodies what it means to serve with compassion, lead with purpose, and strengthen communities through action.

I spy a new, passionate group of CASA training facilitators!

CASA training is part of the foundation for all CASA volunteers. This is the part that ensures every CASA volunteer is prepared to support their CASA child and advocate for their best interests in and out of the courtroom.

Our team works with amazing individuals from local CASA programs throughout the state to equip them with tools and resources to best support and prepare new CASA volunteers every day. When someone takes the step to advocate for a child in foster care by becoming a CASA volunteer, your local CASA program is ready to help them become the best volunteer that person can be!

Congrats to this class of facilitators, and we'll see you shining in the next CASA training. 🎉

There are currently 2,660 CASA volunteers in Georgia.

That's 2,660 people who have answered the call to show up for a child each month as she navigates a separation from her family and many other changes.

2,660 people who serve their communities by advocating for children and families in crisis.

2,660 people who are bringing out the best in themselves and in those around them.

That’s right, it’s time again for our 6th Annual CASA Poopalooza :Cow Patty Bingo Fundraiser!!!

Our CASA Cow 🐄 is bringing the hype with this year’s presenting sponsor: Waycross, GA Convention and Visitors Bureau!!!🎉

Together we are bringing some local pride and awareness of the needs of children in foster care…all while we raise funds so we can keep advocating for children in the system.

Under Jessica's leadership our program has grown in size, strength, and stability. She leads our staff and volunteers with kindness and wisdom.
We are so thankful for her commitment to serving children experiencing foster care, and we are looking forward to celebrating many future years under her leadership!!

We want to give a huge shoutout🎉 & thank you🙌🏻 to Michael Winge of Winge’s Bait and Tackle.
Y’all, listen to this…

All Michael had to do was hear that there were two teenagers in foster care who love to fish, but no longer have any supplies… he went right into action and donated 2 poles, hooks, bobbers, and bait…The works!!!
This is what makes our community SO special!! Standing in the gap to provide normalcy for children going through so much. Thank you Michael!!!
