Yesterday, we did our civic duty by helping new voters take an important first step…registering to vote for the very first time! 🇺🇸🗳️💜
Sgt. Kennedy Ladon Sanders believed in civic engagement and served her community as a young poll worker. Continuing that spirit of service by helping the next generation participate in the democratic process is a beautiful way to honor her legacy.

Register. Participate. Serve. Your voice matters. 💜

Two years ago, the names of Sgt. Kennedy Sanders, Sgt. Breonna Moffett, and SSgt. William Rivers were added to the memorial wall located at the City Hall in Marseilles, IL. This year, we had the privilege of traveling to Marseilles to view the wall during the annual Freedom Run motorcycle ride. The coordinator said that there were in excess of 700 motorcycles in the processional to support this special event to honor the fallen! The location of the wall and the wall itself is beautiful with the rushing water of the Illinois River flowing behind it. We are so grateful for the way people choose to say the names, honor the sacrifices, and never forget those who have given their all to protect our freedom! The trip was made to be extra special because of our hometown family and friends who joined us for the occasion! 💜🩷🩶

Today, we proudly celebrate 24 exceptional young leaders who are making a difference in their schools, churches, workplaces, and communities through service, leadership, and dedication.

Inspired by the life and legacy of Sgt. Kennedy L. Sanders, who was just 24 years old when she made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation, this recognition honors young people who are already leaving a lasting impact on the world around them.

To our honorees: Congratulations! You have demonstrated that age is not a limitation to leadership, compassion, and excellence. We are honored to recognize your achievements and look forward to celebrating each of you at the 2nd Annual 24 Under 24 Youth Leadership Awards Dinner on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the C.C.
