C.C. Stephens Amvets Post 621 Ladies Auxiliary The Waycross AMVETS Post 621 was established in 1947. On March 12, 2022, the post was dedicated and renamed the C.C. Stephens AMVETS Post 621 in honor of Mr.

Clano "C.C." Stephens. For more than 50 years, AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary has served veterans and their communities through programs such as John Tracy Clinic (for hearing, impaired, and deaf children ages 18 months to 5 years); PAWS With a Cause (which trains Assistance Dogs for people with disabilities); scholarships; St. Jude’s Hospital for Children; Veterans Affairs Volunteer Services programs (V

AVS); and Freedom’s Foundation, just to mention a few. Membership in AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary is open to the mothers, wives, widows, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, and granddaughters of AMVETS and female veterans who are currently serving or who have honorably served in the Armed Forces of the United States, including the National Guard and Reserve components, anytime after September 15, 1940.
