Sweet Jade is a 48 lb Shepherd mix and we estimate her to be 1 year old.
She came to us as a stray.

Jade loves leash walks. More than anything though, she loves being close to a human. She presses up against you and tries to get as close as possible to you.
She soaks in every second of her one on one time. She is one of the gentlest dogs we have ever had.

She appears to be good with other dogs as she always encounters every canine with a wagging tail and a smile.

Her only "issue" is that she can climb or escape out of our 8 foot high kennels. 😞. Because of this she doesn't get to have " yard time" and only gets outings during volunteer walks. She is in a kennel that has a secure top so she can't climb out. This is for her safety.

Jade would be a wonderful companion with a family that understood that they need to have her on a leash several times a day for potty time until she realizes she is home. Usually once a dog settles in this urge to flee diminishes. And we all know Jade wants to be an inside dog snuggling with her family and keeping them company.

Jade would also be a perfect candidate for a GPS tracker like Fi. These trackers have become very economical and easy to use. It would give everyone peace of mind and keep her safe.

Ollie is looking for his forever home!
This 2 year old Texas Heeler mix is a joyful and handsome boy!

Ollie is a great leash walker.
He loves his one on one time. Ollie is always smiling and would be a wonderful companion.

Ollie has some amazing traits- one of which he can escape from an 8 foot high kennel! He can jump fences!
He wants to be an inside dog and be with people and would thrive with an active family. We all feel that once he finds his forever home, the need to escape will disappear.

Heelers do best when they have a job and a purpose. Ollie wants to take care of a family and dole out love, kisses and tail wags all day long. He would be a wonderful walking companion and help you get your steps in every day.

Ollie would be a perfect candidate for a GPS collar, such as Fi. These collars are easy to use and are now very reasonably priced. They provide a peace of mind that can't be put in words.

Malibu is a 3 year old, 26 lb Dachshund/ Beagle mix.

She is a gentle and affectionate girl with a calm spirit and a heart that bonds deeply once she knows she's safe.

Malibu is housebroken, very well mannered and knows several commands including "come", "potty", "no" and "stop".
She travels well.
She loves being near people.

She thrives with praise and gentle encouragement.

Malibu loves a variety of treats- especially turkey jerky and Greenies- both which make her tail wag. 🐾💙

She can be cautious with strangers at first and will need a slow introduction and patience from her new family. But once she knows you, she'll be a deeply loyal, loving and devoted companion.

She is definitely an inside dog and loves her soft bed and would thrive with steady routines.

Malibu had her heartworm injection treatments the first week in June and is still with her Foster family while she is recovering. The first 2-3 weeks after the treatment Malibu needs to be in a very calm and quiet environment and we'd like for her to stay with the Foster family until then as she is healing well under their care.

But she will be ready for her forever family very soon!!

🚨 DOG-FREE URGENT NEED FOR FOSTER FOR ASHER 🚨

Y’all, this sweet boy needs a little help.

This is Asher. He came into Waverly Animal Shelter after being attacked by a dog, and his front leg was hurt so bad it had to be amputated. He’s been through a whole lot, but he’s still the sweetest little guy and he is trying so hard.

Right now, Asher just needs a quiet place to heal for about 2 to 3 weeks while he finishes his medicine and his incision heals up.

He needs a home with absolutely NO DOGS. No dogs in the house, no dogs visiting, no dogs at all. After what he’s been through, he deserves a calm, safe, dog-free place where he can rest and not be stressed.

We will provide his food, medicine, and whatever else he needs. You just provide a safe spot and some love.

Once he is healed, he’ll be ready to head to PetSmart and start looking for his forever home.
