🐾❤️ OZZY THE AUSSIE NEEDS A SECOND CHANCE! ❤️🐾
Remember this tiny little guy? Ozzy, our under-8-pound Mini Aussie, found a home, and we were so hopeful his happily-ever-after had finally begun. 💔 Sadly, he’s back with us, but we are so hopeful the right family is out there for him.
His adopter experienced some medical challenges with her husband and realized she simply couldn’t give Ozzy the time and attention needed to work through his training. Sometimes life throws more at us than we can handle, and Ozzy deserves someone who has the time to help him succeed. ❤️
Ozzy is a sweet, little guy who is still learning. He does have some guarding tendencies that will need to be addressed with patience, consistency, and proper training. He needs someone willing to invest time in helping him build confidence, learn boundaries, and become the best little companion he can be.
At under 8 pounds, this boy may be tiny, but he deserves a BIG commitment! 🐾 He needs a home that understands training takes time and is willing to stick with him through the learning process.
Ozzy isn't a bad dog. He's a dog who needs someone willing to help him become the dog he's meant to be. Could that someone be you? 🥹❤️

🐾 5-Year-Old English Shepherd | Handsome, Loving & Ready for His Second Chance 🐾
Some dogs come into the shelter because life has taken an unexpected turn, and sweet Roscoe is one of them. 💔
Roscoe originally lost his home when his owner suffered a medical emergency. Thankfully, another family stepped up and tried their best to give him a second chance. Sadly, they are now facing medical challenges of their own and can no longer care for him. Through absolutely no fault of his own, Roscoe finds himself needing a home YET AGAIN.
How many times can a good dog lose the people he loves through no fault of his own? 😢
Roscoe is a sweetheart, but the shelter environment is overwhelming for him. The noise, the barking, the constant activity — it's a lot for a boy who just needs some peace and security. But spend a little one-on-one time with him, and you'll meet the dog we see beneath all that stress: a loving, affectionate, wonderful boy who is just waiting for someone to choose him. ❤️
And can we talk about how BEAUTIFUL this boy is?! 😍 Roscoe is absolutely stunning, but his heart is even more beautiful than his looks!
🎾 His happy place? The yard, a ball, and YOU! Roscoe loves spending time outside playing ball, and he'll happily keep going as long as you're willing to stay out there with him. He doesn't need anything extravagant. He just wants companionship, attention, playtime, and someone who enjoys having him by their side.
🏡 Roscoe needs a home, and he needs it sooner rather than later.
We are OVER CAPACITY, and watching a dog like Roscoe struggle with the stress of shelter life is heartbreaking. Honestly, shelter life is hard on all of them, but some dogs are just meant to be someone's companion — lounging in the yard, playing fetch, following their person around, and settling in at the end of the day knowing they are finally HOME.
Roscoe could fit so beautifully into the right home. Someone is out there who would be truly blessed to have this boy as their own. Someone who will give him the stability he has lost, the affection he craves, and the forever promise that he won't have to start over again.

💔🐾 DIXIE NEEDS A SOFT PLACE TO LAND… AND A HEART THAT WON’T GIVE UP ON HER. 🐾💔
Meet Dixie, a 4-year-old Great Dane/Mastiff mix who is trying to find her way after life turned upside down through absolutely no fault of her own. 💔
Dixie once had a family and a home. But after a move brought stress and unexpected tension between her and the other dog in the household, this beautiful girl found herself surrendered to the shelter. Through it all, she has been left carrying more than any dog should have to bear.
And if you look closely, you can see some of what she has been through. 💔
Dixie has a few scars from the fights that occurred with her former furry housemate. She has also arrived underweight, and while there is nothing medically wrong causing her weight loss, she needs nourishment, care, and plenty of TLC to help her get back to the beautiful, healthy girl she deserves to be. We are committed to helping her along that journey while she waits for her next chapter.
But what Dixie needs most isn't just food or a comfortable bed.
She needs someone who will make her feel SAFE again. ❤️
She needs a person who understands that sometimes a dog doesn't just need a new home… she needs time to heal from the old one. Someone who will reassure her, give her patience, shower her with kindness, and show her that life can be gentle again.
Dixie deserves a home where she can finally exhale. A place where she doesn't have to navigate the stress and uncertainty she has already experienced. A place where she can simply be loved, grow stronger, put on healthy weight, and spend her days knowing she belongs.
Because at just 4 years old, her story is far from over. We believe there is so much happiness left for this girl to experience. She deserves the chance to discover that her next chapter can be the very best one yet. 🥹❤️
Dixie will need a carefully chosen home where she can feel secure, with thoughtful management around other animals given what happened in her previous household. We want to set her up for success, not put her in a situation where she has to struggle again.
PLEASE, don't let Dixie's scars or her difficult circumstances make you scroll past her. They are part of what she has survived, not all that she is.

Some puppies just have that something special… and sweet Piper has it in spades! 🥹🐶
This adorable 4-month-old Pitbull mix came to us as a stray, and honestly, we were convinced someone would be desperately searching for her. From the moment she arrived, it was clear that someone had spent time loving, socializing, and investing in this little girl. She was just THAT good! 💕
Sadly, no one has come forward to claim her. 💔 So now, instead of waiting for someone from her past, Piper is ready to find the family who will love her for the rest of her life!
And let us tell you… THIS PUPPY IS A GEM! 💎
Every single person who has spent time with Piper is amazed by how wonderful she is for such a young pup. She is a BEAUTIFUL walker on a leash, playful without being overwhelming, gentle with her affection, and an absolutely WORLD-CLASS SNUGGLER! 🥰

Sweet Daisy is waiting for her forever home. She has been with us over 100 days😞.
She is approximately 6 years old and she weighs 55 lbs. She was picked up as a stray this summer at the Mason Boat Dock area and was hanging out peacefully with other dogs when we arrived to pick her up and get her safely to the shelter.
She was so sweet that we thought for sure someone would claim her, but no one stepped forward.
Daisy LOVES her quiet one on one time more than anything. Laying in your lap and relaxing is her favorite place to be. She will be the ultimate snuggle queen!

🐾Loves a game of fetch
Daisy has a zest for life and lives to be with humans.

🐾💙 MEET TOMMY BOY — A HANDSOME BOY WITH A BRAND-NEW LOOK AND A HEART FULL OF LOVE! 💙🐾
✨ 4-year-old Labradoodle | Sweetheart | Ready for his forever home! ✨
Oh, Tommy Boy! 😍 This absolutely gorgeous boy has been through quite a transformation, and we cannot wait for the right family to see just how special he is!
Tommy Boy came to us alongside his brother, Zoomer, after their loving senior owners made the incredibly difficult decision to find them new homes. These boys were loved, but as time went on, keeping up with the grooming and maintenance that Labradoodles require became more than their family could comfortably manage. Sometimes, loving a dog means recognizing when they deserve a different situation, even when letting go breaks your heart. ❤️
When Tommy Boy arrived, his coat was severely matted. Matted fur can be painful and uncomfortable for dogs, and this sweet boy deserved some relief! We immediately got him scheduled for a medicated grooming, and WOW! 🤩 Look at the handsome boy underneath all that hair! He's been given a fresh start, and now he's ready for the next chapter of his life.
But Tommy Boy is so much more than a pretty face!
💙 He's a genuine sweetheart who absolutely loves one-on-one attention.
🌳 He enjoys his yard time and soaking up the simple pleasures of being a dog.
🐾 He's the kind of companion we believe could settle beautifully into the right family's routine and become a wonderful part of everyday life.
And just look at him! That face, those eyes, and that freshly groomed coat are enough to steal anyone's heart. We don't think this handsome gentleman will be waiting long for his next family!
But here's what we really want for Tommy Boy: a forever home that understands the commitment of owning a Labradoodle. ❤️ His beautiful coat requires consistent brushing, regular professional grooming, and ongoing maintenance to keep him comfortable, healthy, and mat-free. We want his next chapter to be one where he never has to go without the care he needs.

Just look at this face! 😍 How could anyone resist this pint-sized bundle of sweetness and beauty?
This precious girl came to Waverly Animal Shelter last week as a stray, and we truly thought someone would come looking for her. Sadly, no one has come forward, and now it's time to find the loving forever home she deserves. 💔❤️
When she first arrived, she was absolutely terrified. It was clear that being on a leash was something completely unfamiliar to her, and the big, scary world of the shelter was overwhelming. We can only imagine how frightened and confused she must have felt.
But here's the beautiful part… just a few days of kindness, patience, and gentle love have made such a difference! 🥹❤️
This little girl is already showing us who she really is. She eagerly meets our volunteers and staff at her kennel door, happily welcomes attention, and has discovered that a leash means something wonderful — FUN WALKS! 🐕 She is an absolute joy to walk, and watching her confidence grow has been such a rewarding experience.
She's proving that sometimes all a dog needs is a little time to realize that the world isn't such a scary place after all.
With her adorable, compact size, beautiful face, and sweet, loving personality, we can picture her curled up on the couch beside her favorite person, enjoying leisurely walks, and finally knowing what it means to be safe, wanted, and loved. 🏡💗
She has already come so far in such a short time. Just imagine how much she'll blossom when she has a home of her own.
We want so much more for this girl than a kennel and a shelter routine. We want to see her confidence continue to grow, her personality shine, and her little heart feel secure enough to love without fear.
