⚾️ HOME SLATE AT BIDDLE PARK! 🥎

Wauseon baseball and softball are officially back at the diamonds this week! ☀️ Grab your lawn chairs, pack up the family, and head out to Biddle Park to cheer on our local athletes.

🇺🇸 Note: There are NO games on Monday, May 25th in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.

🎉 Tuesday, May 26th @ 5:00 PM: Don't miss the Opening Day Ceremony at Haas Door Field to kick off the week's action!

🏈 2026 Wauseon Youth Tackle Football Registration is OPEN! 🏈

Attention parents of upcoming 5th and 6th graders (2026-27 school year)! It’s time to get your athletes registered for the upcoming youth tackle football season. The Youth Football Camp is included in the price of this registration - so DO NOT signup for the youth skills camp on July 18th if you register for this tackle program - it is free for players on this team.

The Wauseon Youth Football League (WYFL) will be competing in the Northwest Ohio Football League (NWOYFL) again this fall!

📅 Key Information You Need to Know:
Registration Deadline: Friday, July 10, 2026
Registration Fee: $105
Practices: Begin in August (3 times per week)
Games: Begin in September (played on Saturdays)

All 5th/6th Grade Registered Wauseon Tackle Players are FREE! Please do not double enroll for both. Only enroll in the camp if you 5-6 grader is not playing in the tackle program.

Calling all STRIDERS !!! Registration is now open for our 2026 Strider Track & Field program with a registration deadline of 6/7 🤷🏽😊 All other pertinent information can be found on the pictured form. Don’t be late as the program begins the day after registration ends !!!

This program is organized and run by the HS track coaches, boys and girls, with support from the HS athletes, as well. It is great exposure and a great experience for the kiddos 👍🏽💪🏽🏃🏽‍♂️‍➡️

The Wauseon HS Baseball coaching staff and their HS players will be holding a baseball camp June 22nd thru June 24th. All pertinent information (including payment information) can be found on the pictured form. Forms can be picked up at the Wauseon Recreation office during normal office hours M-F from 9am to 4pm.

Please read and take a look. We are working on exciting ideas and want input from the community. We have a WRA board meeting always open to the public this Sunday at 7pm at city council chambers in Wauseon. We would love collaboration from everyone in this early and necessary phase of this region changing exploration for our community and county. Again we are exploring this idea with the intent of building without a tax levy and are in the early stages of research. Our main goal is to build a better community for all ages and bring us all closer, while making Wauseon a thriving community and regional hub for decades to come.
