We are excited to announce our Summer Crop Scouting School! This is an incredible, real-world opportunity for students to dive into the world of agronomics, learn how to identify pests and diseases, and understand what it takes to manage a successful crop.
We will be using the very fields that we farm, giving students a direct look at the science and business of agriculture.

The Details:
Dates: Thursday mornings – June 11, June 18, June 25, and July 2
Time: 6:15 AM - 7AM
Kickoff Location (June 11): The School Ag Barn
What to wear/bring: Please dress for the weather and the fields! We recommend closed-toe shoes or boots, long pants, and a water bottle.

Whether you're looking to pursue a career in agriculture or just want to learn more about how food grows right here in our community, we would love to have you out there with us.

See you bright and early on June 11th at the Ag Barn!

Our Wauseon FFA members had an incredible and rewarding trip to the 98th Ohio FFA State Convention in Columbus this weekend! From exploring campus life to being recognized on the big stage, it was a weekend to remember.

Day 1: Exploration & Inspiration
We kicked off the trip with a tour of the Controlled Environment Agriculture Research Complex (CEARC) at Waterman Agricultural and Natural Resources Laboratory. It was a fascinating look at the future of agricultural technology and research in action!

Later that afternoon, we headed to the Second General Session at the Celeste Center. We heard a powerful keynote message from Jason Hewlett, which definitely gave us some great takeaways to bring back to our chapter. We wrapped up the night with some well-deserved fun and team bonding at Scene75.

Day 2: Celebrating Excellence
Day two was all about celebrating the hard work and "Gold Standard" of our members. During the morning session, Wauseon was well-represented on stage:

• Gold Rated Officer Books: A huge congratulations to our officers for their meticulous record-keeping and dedication!
-Secretary’s Book: Lainey Zientek
-Treasurer’s Book: Sophia Medina
-Reporter’s Book: Jacob Klopfenstein

• State Champion: We are so proud of Richard Noonan for placing 1st as an individual in the State Agricultural Soils Contest!
