Meet the Board: Frank Wilton is currently serving as United Way’s 1st Vice President of the Board of Director’s. He has retired from middle management in the millwright field. Now you’ll find him working part time at Barnes Funeral Chapel. Frank served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was also married for 50 years until his wife’s passing. They had 2 daughter’s and 5 grandchildren.
Frank also served on the Delta Village Council for 12 years and was Delta’s Mayor for 3 years. He worked with the Delta Outreach food pantry prior to The Open Door of Delta took it over. Frank had previously served on United Way’s Board of Director’s so when he was asked to return, he couldn’t turn it down. He is most surprised at learning the detail that goes into granting funds and the lack of partnerships with other counties.

Meet the Board: Wendy Gericke is currently serving as the Executive Director of the Archbold Chamber of Commerce. Previously she was a community development coordinator for Fulton, Williams, and Defiance counties for CHP Home Care and Hospice. She also co-owns Hip to the Groove boutique in downtown Sylvania. Throughout her career, she has worked in healthcare, marketing, fundraising, and community development. She loves connecting people, supporting local businesses, and to help organizations and communities grow.
Wendy was born in Fort Lauderdale Florida and moved to the Toledo area with family in the late 1970’s. In 2000, her family made Archbold their home, and it’s been a wonderful place to live, work, and raise her family with her husband Ben. Together they have 5 children and 5 grandchildren.
Serving people has always been important to Wendy. She is passionate about making a meaningful impact in the community and serving as a board member for United Way provides the opportunity to do that on a larger scale. Wendy believes in United Way’s mission and wanted to help make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families throughout Fulton County. Wendy had no idea all the wonderful resources that UWFC offers or how many local programs, schools, and nonprofit organizations benefit from its support. It’s amazing to see how one organization can bring so many people together to strengthen our community.

Meet the Board: Matt Gerig Is currently serving as the board Treasurer. During the week, you will find him at the FCHC Outpatient Pharmacy where he is the Retail Pharmacy Director. He and his wife Jessica live in Wauseon and have 2 grown children, Mary (21) and Gavin (20).
Matt’s interest in United Way began when he wanted to find a way to serve the community. United Way has been an established organization in Fulton County for a long-time providing assistance through various programs. We serve a large number of people in the community and donations for our programs are greatly underfunded. Additional support from donors is needed to provide the same continued support to our county.

Meet the Board: Jennifer McCullough Jennifer has spent almost 30 years volunteering with United Way. She began with the Delta area United Way, and was a founding member of the merged United Way of Fulton County Board. She has served multiple terms and is a past President. Jenny is currently our 2nd Vice President.
Jennifer worked as a department supervisor at The Anderson’s in Maumee for over 20 years until her retirement. She has been married to her husband, Dale, for 54 years and have 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and another on the way in September 2026. Jennifer has experience with other non-profit organizations, such as The Open Door of Delta, American Red Cross, LTRC Tornado Relief, P-D-Y PTO, and the Fulton County Health Center Board of Directors. “United Way is a great organization doing great things, and there are many programs available to the residents of Fulton County” says Jenny. And she enjoys spreading the word about what United Way is and does within the community.
