🐾 Double the Love, Double the Loyalty 🐾

Rugar (black, age 4) and Remi (white, age 3) are officially ready to begin their search for a forever home!

While many bonded pairs can eventually adjust to being separated, these boys share a connection that is truly special. They aren't brothers by birth, but they have become brothers by heart.

After their beloved owner suffered a tragic accident and never returned home, Rugar and Remi leaned on each other through the confusion and loss. Dogs may not understand what happened, but they do understand love, comfort, routine, and the people they cherish. During that difficult time, their bond grew even stronger.

Because of that, we would love to find a family willing to welcome both boys into their home together.

These handsome boys are:

🐾 Housebroken
🐾 Well-mannered and easy to live with
🐾 Smart and eager to learn
🐾 Great on veterinary visits (their vet even commented on how good they were!)
🐾 Leash trained, but could use continued work
🐾 Enjoy (we prefer) a fenced yard where they can run, explore, and play freely

Remi is very friendly with other dogs. Rugar takes a little more time to warm up to new canine friends, but he is devoted to Remi.

They previously lived with cats and may do well with them again, although we have not personally tested them. Both boys also have good recall and would thrive with continued training and guidance.

Most of all, they are sweet, loving companions who have already experienced a tremendous loss. We'd love nothing more than to see them begin their next chapter side by side.

🎬 Meet Dax. No, not Dax Shepard. This Dax is actually a shepherd.

Unlike the famous Dax Shepard, our Dax didn’t grow up in Hollywood. In fact, we’re pretty sure he didn’t come from Beverly Hills. We don’t know much about his past, but it’s clear life hasn’t always rolled out the red carpet for him.

Dax is an estimated 1–2 year old German Shepherd with movie-star looks and a surprisingly laid-back personality. While many young shepherds are constantly looking for a job to do, Dax is more of a “let’s hang out and see where the day takes us” kind of guy.

What makes Dax special isn’t what he knows—it’s what he’s learning.

When Dax arrived, it quickly became apparent that he had missed out on some of the simple joys most dogs take for granted. Toys don’t mean much to him yet. Treats don’t stop him in his tracks. Bones aren’t the greatest thing ever…at least not yet. He doesn’t know basic commands like “sit,” but that’s not because he can’t learn. Quite the opposite. Dax is smart, observant, and eager to connect. He just seems to have never been taught.

Watching him discover what it means to simply be a dog and receive affection has been both rewarding and heartbreaking. Every day he learns something new from his foster siblings, and you can almost see the lightbulbs turning on.

Here’s what we do know:

✔️ Potty trained
✔️ Good with other dogs
✔️ Has met a toddler and did well
✔️ Lower energy and lower prey drive than many German Shepherds his age
✔️ Smart and capable of learning quickly with consistency and patience

⚠️ Because Dax had very little exposure to children before coming into rescue, we believe he would do best with older, respectful children or with a family willing to help him continue learning appropriate interactions and boundaries

⚠️ Not a fan of crate training and will need a secure impact-style crate rather than a wire crate for his safety if crated

Dax isn’t looking for perfection, and he doesn’t need someone looking for a perfectly trained dog. He needs a family willing to meet him where he is, show him patience, and help him continue discovering all the things he’s been missing.

The Dax Shepard found fame. Dax, the shepherd, is looking for something even better: a soft bed, a loving family, and a place where he never has to wonder if he’s wanted again.

Dax is neutered, up to date on vaccines, tested for tick-borne illnesses, on preventions, and microchipped.

His adoption fee is $600.

We adopt within a 6-hour radius of Toledo, Ohio.

Dax is being fostered in Lyons, Ohio, and meet-and-greets can be arranged with an approved application.

🖤🤍 Rugar & Remi Update !!🤍🖤

The boys are here! They came in yesterday.
We are so thankful we were able to help this family... not just the dogs. Sometimes, people need help and if its within our ability to help... we will. Thank you for trusting us with the boys! We will do our very best for them.

Look who enjoyed a little spa day! These two beautiful boys were groomed today and are looking absolutely stunning.

But what has really stood out in foster care isn't just how gorgeous they are—it's the bond they've formed with one another. Rugar and Remi have become constant companions, finding comfort, confidence, and friendship in each other every day. Watching them together has been truly special.

They still need to complete their vetting before they're ready for the next chapter, but we're already dreaming of the perfect home for them. A home where they can continue their journey side by side.

Finding a family willing to welcome two dogs isn't always easy, but if you've ever loved a bonded pair, you know just how rewarding it can be. 🖤🤍

For now, they're enjoying foster life, soaking up love, and patiently waiting for what's next.

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED 🚨

This handsome boy is currently sitting in an Ohio shelter and needs a foster home as soon as possible.

Believed to be a Belgian Malinois mix, he weighs approximately 36 pounds and is reported to be very friendly with both people and other dogs. He is very playful with others. He also has two siblings in need as well that we would gladly accept with enough fosters!

🐾 Meet Danny 🐾

We're honestly not sure how Danny is still waiting for a family of his own.

At 3 years old and approximately 50 pounds, Danny has all the qualities people say they're looking for in a dog...and then some! He's past the puppy stage, knows how to live in a home, has manners, and has a gentle, easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around.

Danny loves spending time with his people, whether that's relaxing on the couch, soaking up the sunshine outdoors, or joining you for a car ride. His foster family says his entire body wiggles when he's happy, and if you'll let him share your pillow at bedtime, he'll absolutely be convinced he's found paradise!

One of the things that makes Danny so special is how well he gets along with everyone around him. He happily shares his life with other dogs, cats, chickens, and even lambs. He's the kind of dog who simply wants to be part of the family.

While other dogs have come and gone, Danny has patiently waited for someone to see just how special he is. We know that family is out there—we just need to help them find him.
