💙 Happy Father’s Day from the Wausau Noon Optimist Club! 💙

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who lead with strength, integrity, and love.

The Optimist Creed encourages us to “look at the sunny side of everything and make our optimism come true.” Fathers do that every day. They teach resilience through challenges, offer guidance during uncertainty, and help their families see possibilities where others see obstacles.

They give their time, their wisdom, and their hearts to help shape the next generation. Their example reminds us that strong families are built through patience, sacrifice, encouragement, and unwavering support.

As Optimists, we believe the future is bright because of the values fathers pass on to their children—honesty, responsibility, kindness, and hope.

Today, we honor the men who work tirelessly behind the scenes, celebrate every victory, comfort every setback, and show up when it matters most.

Thank You Dads.

Thank you for helping make our families stronger, our youth more confident, and our communities better places to live, learn, and grow.

⚾🥎 Thank You, Wausau Youth Baseball & Fastpitch Softballll! 🥎⚾

The Wausau Noon Optimist Club would like to extend our sincere thanks to Wausau Youth Baseball & Fastpitch Softball for recognizing our continued support of your organization and, most importantly, the youth of our community.

For decades, our club has been committed to creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow, compete, and build lifelong memories. We are proud to partner with organizations like Wausau Youth Baseball & Fastpitch Softball that share our passion for helping kids develop confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership skills.

Seeing young athletes take the field, make new friends, and grow through the game is exactly why we do what we do.

✈️ Today, the Wausau Noon Optimist Club had the opportunity to learn about an incredible local organization making a difference in the lives of youth and families — Learn Build Fly!

A huge thank you to Dave Conrad for taking the time to share the mission, passion, and impact behind this amazing program. Through hands-on experiences in aviation, STEM, skilled trades, engineering, and aircraft building, Learn Build Fly is inspiring the next generation to dream bigger and build brighter futures.

Programs like these create opportunities, build confidence, and help young people discover passions that can last a lifetime.

Learn Build Fly is a non-profit organization of dedicated volunteers providing aviation, STEM, and leadership education to youth and families in Wausau and Marathon County WI, building a Wittman Legacy aircraft.

The Wausau Noon Optimists were proud to recognize two outstanding students from John Marshall Elementary School from the Wausau School District as our 5th Grade Students of the Month!

These students represent what being an Optimist is all about — leadership, kindness, hard work, positive attitudes, and making a difference both in and out of the classroom. 💙

Today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders, and recognizing their achievements helps encourage confidence, build character, and inspire others to reach for their goals.

💦🌞 BIG NEWS FOR WAUSAU AREA FAMILIES! 🌞💦

The Wausau Noon Optimists are proud to present a $15,000 donation to support the new Splash Pad project at Marathon Park!

After years of closure and infrastructure upgrades, the new splash pad is being rebuilt with updated systems, improved features, and more opportunities for families to enjoy safe, affordable summer fun right here in our community. The project includes new infrastructure, upgraded water systems, and enhanced water features designed to serve families for years to come.

Why does this matter? Because splash pads are more than water and concrete — they create spaces where kids can laugh, stay active, build friendships, and make summer memories together. For many families, they also provide an affordable way to beat the heat and enjoy quality time outdoors. ☀️💙

Supporting youth is what we do. Investing in places where kids can play, grow, and connect is investing in the future of our community.

This Memorial Weekend, the Wausau Noon Optimist Club pauses to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

Their courage, service, and selflessness are the reason we enjoy the freedoms we have today. As we gather with family and friends this weekend, let us never forget the true meaning of Memorial Day.

In reverence of the holiday, there will be no Wausau Noon Optimist Club meeting on Memorial Day.
