Good afternoon WAYSC Families! ⚽

Just a quick reminder that WAYSC will once again be participating in the Wauconda Memorial Day Parade! We love getting to see as many players and families join us as possible, as we come together to represent our organization and honor those who have served our country.
Here’s what you need to know:

Meet at Cook Park
Monday, May 25
⏰ 9:00 AM arrival
Parade starts at 10:00 AM
Please note: streets begin closing around 9:00–9:15 AM, so plan accordingly.
--Parade Route: The parade runs from the High School/Park District lots and continues to just past Route 176 at Memorial Park (almost a mile).
⚽ Players: Please wear your game day jerseys. Soccer socks are optional.
Everyone: Dress accordingly for the weather — the parade has taken place in both sunshine and light rain. Comfortable shoes are required -- NO CLEATS, please.
Adults assisting: If possible, please wear WAYSC colors or spirit wear.
-- TK/KK players must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the parade. For U8 and older players, it is up to each family’s discretion whether to walk alongside the group.
-- Players are welcome to bring signs to carry during the parade. Please note that all items brought are the responsibility of the player/family for the duration of the parade.
--CORRECTION FROM PREVIOUS COMMUNICATION: We will be handing out candy/items. If you wish to bring bags to share and hand out, please feel free.
--Players should keep all personal belongings with them, as we will not have a place to store anything during the parade.
-- Guardians who choose not to walk in the parade should plan to pick up their players near the police station at the end of the parade route.

❌ There will be NO PRACTICE on Monday, May 25 to allow families to enjoy the holiday together.❌
