Thank you to the Wauconda Women's Club who have worked in partnership with Bookfriends for many years to help African girls stay in school by creating hygiene Kits for us to ship along with textbooks. These ladies are one of the groups we have assisting with the construction and assembly of the kits and they also contribute to the expense of shipping books and kits to the African schools. Spring is finally here!🌷If you find yourself with the urge to do some spring cleaning and decluttering, consider donating some of your used books! Or, if you're like me and can't bear to part with your collection, come lend a hand for a few hours. There's always something to do and we could always use help.

Volunteer groups at Bookfriends are always welcome! Thank you to the folks from St Matthews Church who recently visited our warehouse for a couple hours of great hands on assistance. They helped us prepare and box books, pack hygiene kits, and getting some of our pallets shrink-wrapped. Their hard work is much appreciated as we prepare this shipment to leave the warehouse soon enroute to13 Ugandan schools!
