Add getting your kiddos car seat looked at to your back-to-school checklist!
via National CPS Certification

Back-to-school season means checklists everywhere — pencils, folders, new backpack. Add one more item to that list: back seat. Kids under 13 are safest riding in the back, buckled correctly in the seat that fits their age and size. Take a minute this week to double-check everyone's ride is set up right before the first bell rings.

Love this reminder from Safe Kids Worldwide to check your kiddos car seat to be sure they still meet the seat's fit requirements, just like you'd check their clothes for the upcoming school year!

Back-to-school shopping has a way of reminding us just how fast kids grow. Pants are suddenly too short, shoes don't fit anymore... and those summer growth spurts may mean it's time to check their car seat, too.

Height, weight, and age limits are there to help keep kids safe. Before the school year begins, take a moment to check the label on your child's car seat to make sure they're still within the seat's height, weight, and age limits. When they outgrow the maximum height or weight listed on the label, it's time to move to the next appropriate seat.

Love this reminder from National Child Passenger Safety Board to not have them "grow up" before they're ready.

Most kids between 8 - 12 years old should be in a booster seat. CPSTs are trained educators in car seats, booster seats and seat belts. Find a CPST to learn if your child can safely ride without a booster seat. https://bit.ly/4vSdUGD
