He shared about the importance of conserving local history and the work he is doing through The Waterloo African American Historical Resource Development Project to identify, protect, preserve, enhance, and promote Waterloo’s African American historic places.

Black Hawk County Courthouse should have a African American Exhibit somewhere inside the building paying tribute to our County trailblazers.

This summer the Iowa African American Heritage Trail Program and Black Life Youth Camp 2023 will be creating a traveling exhibit and virtual Tour of Black Hawk County Black History and Downtown Waterloo Black Experiences. But, before we can start this great project, we have to get the full support of the Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors. Keeping my fingers crossed..
