This is why we say "don't clean your coins".

A heart breaker this weekend. A complete...COMPLETE...wheat cent collection...all harshly cleaned. A $3000 set became a $300 set because "Well they're my coins, I can do what I want with them." Which is true, but can't follow that up with, "I have over $1000 into that set and I won't take any less." And yes they were in a blue folder that definitely spent some time in a basement.

As you can tell, I own them now. Two other shops refused to even buy them. He took my reasonable offer and has vowed to never come to Iowa again...so I expect a "quality" review soon. 😂
