Meet Pony! She is a beautiful 5-year-old Siberian Husky with a soft, gentle spirit and a calm, docile nature. She is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart with her sweet personality and loving soul.

Pony does wonderfully with other dogs. When first meeting high-energy dogs, she may be shy and a bit timid, but after a little time she warms up and enjoys following them around and being part of the pack. While she's not overly playful yet, she clearly enjoys canine companionship and may continue to blossom with time.

With people, Ponys personality truly shines once she trusts you. She is naturally quiet and reserved, preferring to observe her surroundings before joining in. In a calm, patient environment, her affectionate side comes through beautifully. She enjoys gentle attention; cozy snuggles and simply being near her people.

Pony was surrendered because she was struggling with the baby and toddler in her previous home. High-energy young children can make her nervous and overwhelmed, causing her to retreat and hide until she feels safe again. Because of this, we feel a home with children 8 years and older would be the best fit.

That said, Pony is incredibly sweet with respectful children. Her foster introduced her to children ages 5, 9, and 11, and after about 30 minutes of calm interaction, Pony was happily laying in their laps soaking up snuggles and affection. She simply needs patient children who can understand that she may be shy at first and allow her to approach on her own terms.

Pony is also very fearful of men when she first meets them. She may bark or run away initially, and when she does approach, she often acts as though she is expecting to be corrected or hurt. There is absolutely no aggression in Pony - she is simply scared and unsure. With kindness, patience, and reassurance, she warms up beautifully and eventually becomes a loyal companion.

She is also cat friendly and does well with other dogs, especially calm, friendly dogs who can help her build confidence.

Pony does not require an experienced Husky owner, but she does need a calm, understanding home that will move at her pace. She would thrive in a peaceful household with a predictable routine. A friendly canine companion may help her continue to grow, though she would also be happy as the center of attention in a quiet home.

Her ideal family will be patient, kind, and willing to let her blossom slowly. Rather than constant excitement, Pony prefers quiet walks, cozy naps, adventures with her people, and simply being close to those she loves.

Pony is waiting for a family that will see the beauty in her gentle spirit and give her the time and reassurance she needs to shine. Once she knows she is safe and loved, she will reward that patience with unwavering loyalty, affection, and a bond that is truly special.

Pony is in a foster home located in Saginaw, MI.

Meet Sophie, she is a beautiful 6–8-year-old husky girl with the sweetest laid-back personality. She’s the kind of dog that just wants to be part of the crew, whether that means hanging out with her people, playing with her dog friends, or relaxing nearby on her favorite dog bed after sneaking in a few cuddles first.

Sophie is wonderful with other dogs of all sizes and genders. She’s playful, social, and truly a little social butterfly. She also previously lived with two children under the age of 10 and did great with them. However, Sophie is not cat friendly.

This big lovable girl may not always realize her size right away, but she has a very gentle nature. She absolutely loves belly rubs, rough pets, kiddie pools, and spending time outdoors. One fun fact about Sophie — despite being a husky, she has never seen snow before because she originally came from Nevada!

Sophie is house trained and does not require a crate. She does very well free roaming or gated in a room while her people are away. She also has quite the personality and can almost say “I love you” when she talks to you! She already knows sit, lay down, and high five.

Because Sophie’s previous owners surrendered her due to her tendency to run, she will require a secure fenced yard and an adopter who understands the husky breed and their adventurous nature.

Her perfect home would be one where she can go on walks, explore outside, spend time with her people, and simply be included in everyday life. Sophie thrives on companionship, activity, and love — and she’s ready to find the forever family she deserves.

Sophie is in a foster home located in Saginaw, MI.

Meet Maverick

Maverick is a handsome, athletic Siberian Husky mix born on February 18, 2023, with a big personality to match his good looks. He’s a smart, energetic boy who thrives when given clear expectations, structure, and plenty of outlets for both his body and his brain.

Maverick rides great in the car—he’s always up for an adventure! He loves being around people and, once he understands the rules, truly wants to please. He has some snuggly tendencies, especially after he’s had a chance to burn off energy. Treats, playing catch, chewing sticks, walks, and helping “redecorate” the yard are some of his favorite pastimes. With his athletic build and drive, Maverick would likely excel at activities such as running, skijoring, pulling sports, or agility training.

When it comes to other dogs, Maverick prefers to be the only dog in the home. He has shown alpha tendencies, and without a submissive canine companion, it’s safest for him to shine solo. His interactions with cats and young children are unknown, though due to his size, exuberance, and occasional mouthiness when overstimulated, we feel older, dog-savvy kids would be the best fit.

Maverick is crate trained and does require a secure tie-out until he is fully settled, which he does very well with. He can become pushy when seeking attention (hello repeated paw taps!) and has shown occasional food defensiveness and mouthiness when overstimulated—but he has already made great progress with consistent guidance and training.

Because of his intelligence, energy, and strong personality, Maverick will do best with an experienced husky or working-breed owner who understands the importance of firm, consistent boundaries. Without guidance, Maverick could easily decide he’s in charge—but with the right leadership, he truly thrives.

Maverick’s ideal home is one where he can be the only dog, receive daily mental stimulation and physical exercise, and have adopters who are committed to continuing his training and helping him succeed.

If you’re an active person or family looking for a loyal, adventure-ready companion and you enjoy working with smart, driven dogs, Maverick may be your perfect match.

Maverick is currently in a foster home located in Waterford, Mi.

Meet Rascal — a special boy with a big heart and a lot of potential.

Rascal is an 8-year-old American Eskimo/Siberian Husky mix with a fun personality and a loving soul. He’s playful, intelligent, and still full of life, but he’s also a dog who needs patience, understanding, and a calm home environment as he continues to build confidence.

Rascal spent his early years in a puppy mill, where he lacked proper socialization, guidance, and positive human interaction. Because of this, he can be wary of new people and may sometimes give mixed signals — for example, approaching for attention while also vocalizing uncertainty. With time, consistency, and trust, Rascal forms meaningful bonds and shows affection on his terms.

One big milestone for Rascal is that he now both gives and receives kisses. This is something he chooses to do when he feels comfortable, usually when verbally invited, and it’s a wonderful sign of how far he has come.

Rascal is highly food-motivated and loves treats, meals, and chew toys — especially hard plastic bones. Mealtime is very exciting for him, and he is still working on manners such as jumping or counter surfing, though he continues to make progress. He also has a mischievous streak and enjoys shredding paper if he finds it, but he redirects well when provided with appropriate toys.

He enjoys being outdoors and does well playing with his canine companions. At times he can become overly playful or pushy, but he responds appropriately to corrections from both dogs and humans. Rascal also does well with cats.

Rascal is not fully housebroken and currently wears a diaper indoors due to marking behavior. This has been improving with continued work, and he does not mark while wearing the diaper, indicating this is a behavioral issue rather than a medical one. His foster is actively working with him, but potential adopters should be comfortable managing this as part of his continued training.

Due to his background and occasional unpredictability with unfamiliar people, Rascal will need a home without children. He has come a long way and deserves a patient, experienced adopter who understands his past and is willing to continue helping him succeed.

In the right home, Rascal will be a loyal and devoted companion. His foster is happy to share insight, routines, and guidance to help ensure a smooth transition and continued progress in his forever home.

Rascal has worked hard to get where he is today, and with the right adopter, he will continue to grow into a loyal and loving companion.

Rascal is in a foster home located in Lincoln Park, Mi.

Meet Blessing

Blessing is an 8-year-old gentle, easygoing girl looking for a calm and loving home. She’s fully house-trained, crate-trained, and prefers a quieter lifestyle. Blessing enjoys spending time indoors, soaking up affection, and going on short, brisk walks.

She gets along well with cats and does well with smaller dogs, but she prefers to avoid large dogs and should be the biggest dog in her future home. Blessing is good with older, respectful children (7+) who understand how to be gentle.

Blessing has a soft, sensitive nature due to past rough handling, so she thrives in peaceful environments. Loud noises or chaotic settings can make her alert, but she’s gaining confidence every day. She’s learning basic commands and loves meeting kind people on her little outings.

Blessing would do best in a home with a quiet place to relax, a safe yard for a little Husky play, and a family willing to continue her training and take her on fun, low-key outings. She’s sweet, docile, and affectionate—an absolutely lovely companion for the right home.

If you’re looking for a calm, loving, and loyal 8-year-old companion, Blessing may be the perfect match.
