Meet Maverick

Maverick is a handsome, athletic Siberian Husky mix born on February 18, 2023, with a big personality to match his good looks. He’s an incredibly smart, people-loving boy who thrives when given clear expectations, structure, and plenty of outlets for both his body and his mind.

Maverick is crate trained, rides wonderfully in the car, and is always ready for his next adventure. Whether it’s going for walks, playing catch, chewing on sticks, or even “helping” redecorate the yard, he’s happiest when he has something to do. With his athletic build and eagerness to work, he would likely excel at activities such as running, skijoring, pulling sports, or agility.

One of Maverick’s greatest strengths is how much he enjoys being with people. He’s affectionate, enjoys snuggling once he’s had a chance to burn off some energy, and truly wants to please. Since being in foster care, his manners have continued to improve. He learns quickly, responds well to guidance, and now only needs a simple correction if he becomes mouthy or tries to get attention with his signature paw taps. His foster describes him as an incredibly smart, well-behaved dog who does best when his owner consistently sets clear boundaries and follows through with expectations.

Maverick would do best as the only dog in the home. He has shown alpha tendencies around other dogs, and he really shines when he doesn’t have to share his space. His experience with cats and young children is unknown. Because of his size, enthusiasm, and occasional mouthiness when overstimulated, we feel older, dog-savvy children would be the best fit.

He is crate trained and does require a secure tie-out while settling into a new home, which he handles very well. He has also shown occasional food defensiveness, so his new family should continue reinforcing good manners and management around meals.

Because of his intelligence, energy, and confident personality, Maverick is looking for an experienced Husky or working-breed owner who understands the importance of leadership, consistency, and positive structure. When he knows what’s expected of him, he flourishes and becomes an exceptional companion.

Maverick’s ideal home is one where he can be the center of attention, receive plenty of daily exercise and mental enrichment, and continue building on the wonderful progress he’s already made.

If you’re an active person or family looking for a loyal, adventure-ready companion with brains, personality, and a heart full of love, Maverick may just be your perfect match.

Maverick is in a foster home located in Waterford Mi.

Meet Hayden

Some dogs wear their hearts on their sleeves, and Hayden is one of them.

Estimated to be about 3 years old, Hayden is a sweet, smart, and affectionate Husky who is ready to leave his past behind and find a family to call his own.

Despite coming from a hoarding situation, Hayden hasn’t let his past define him. He absolutely loves people and simply wants to be close to them. Whether he’s leaning in for pets, resting his head in your lap, or tucking his head under your chin for extra affection, Hayden is happiest when he’s with his favorite person.

Hayden is crate trained, though he is not yet fully house trained, so his new family will need to continue helping him learn. He also requires a tie-out when outside, rides wonderfully in the car, and walks well on a prong collar.

Hayden can be a little timid around men when first meeting them, but he warms up quickly once he realizes he’s safe.

With other dogs, Hayden has done well with both males and females. He enjoys playing but can become overstimulated if play gets too rough or another dog corrects him. He has a short fuse in those moments, so an experienced owner who can recognize when play is escalating and redirect him before it becomes an issue will help him succeed. Because of this, Hayden would do best with an experienced Northern breed owner who understands dog body language and appropriate play, or he may enjoy being the only dog where he can soak up all the attention.

Hayden’s experience with children is unknown, but he has been gentle, very people-friendly, and has shown no resource guarding. His compatibility with cats is also unknown, so we are recommending a cat-free home.

Hayden would love a family who enjoys walks, car rides, and everyday adventures, but he’d be just as happy relaxing at home as long as he’s by your side. More than anything, this handsome boy is looking for a family that will give him the patience, guidance, and unconditional love he deserves.

If you’ve been searching for a loyal companion with a heart full of love, Hayden may be the one you’ve been waiting for.

Hayden is currently being fostered in South Lyon, Michigan.

Meet Gus

Gus is a handsome 7-year-old Husky/Malamute mix with a heart of gold and a wonderfully laid-back personality. If you're looking for a loyal companion who is happiest simply being by your side, Gus may be the perfect match.

This sweet boy loves being part of whatever you're doing. Whether you're relaxing on the couch, working around the house, or enjoying a quiet afternoon outside, Gus is content just hanging out with his favorite people. He especially loves lounging under a shady tree, splashing around in a kiddie pool, and greeting you with a wagging tail when you come home. Belly rubs are his absolute favorite, and he’ll happily flop onto the floor to ask for one.

Gus is wonderful with children and is incredibly gentle. He doesn't jump on people and has a calm, easygoing nature that makes him a joy to be around. He's also cat friendly and enjoys relaxing alongside his feline friends. With female dogs, Gus is playful, social, and loves to romp around with dogs of all sizes.

Gus is house trained, up to date on his vaccinations, and microchipped. While he is not crate trained, he has excellent house manners and does well with full access to the home, often choosing to nap by the front door while his foster is away. One of his sweetest little quirks is that hell softly sing along with passing sirens.

Because Gus has severe aggression toward male dogs, he must be the only male dog in the home. He can live happily with female dogs, but he cannot safely share a home or interact with male dogs. This is a non-negotiable requirement for his forever home.

Gus still has so much love to give and is ready to spend his golden years with a family who will cherish him. He doesn't ask for much—just a cozy place to rest, people to love, belly rubs whenever possible, and a home where he can enjoy life at his own relaxed pace.

If you're looking for a faithful best friend with a gentle soul, Gus is waiting to steal your heart.

Gus is in a foster home located in Saginaw, Mi.

Meet Natasya!

Natasya is a sweetheart with a bubbly personality and a heart full of love. She was born on August 29,2025 and she hasn't met a stranger yet—everyone is a potential new best friend! Friendly, playful, and full of life, Natasya loves toys, chew bones, treats, and spending time with her people. She's even been practicing howling alongside her Malamute housemates, although her adorable Pitty voice makes it sound a little different! And don't be surprised if she gives you those irresistible puppy-dog eyes when you're eating—she knows exactly how to work her charm.

Natasya is house trained and crate trained. She gets along well with other dogs and currently lives happily with both a playful male and a laid-back female dog. While she can be a bit more dominant, she generally enjoys the company of other dogs. On walks, she gets very excited when she sees dogs and may bark, but it's because she's eager to meet them.

She absolutely loves children and was raised in a home with six kids. She has also done wonderfully meeting a toddler, although her enthusiastic personality may be a bit much for very small children. Because of her strong prey drive, however, she cannot live with cats or other small animals.

Natasya is smart, food motivated and enjoys learning. She has been responding well to training, especially when redirected during walks. She does have some separation anxiety, particularly when separated from her canine companions, but she has already made great progress with consistent training and patience. Her foster believes this is something that will continue to improve with the right home.

Natasya is in a foster home located in Roseville, MI

Meet Sega:

Sega is a handsome boy born on June 19, 2024. Sega is a mellow, gentle boy who can be shy when meeting new people. He prefers to approach on his own terms and may become uncomfortable if someone tries to pet him before he is ready. Once he feels safe and gets to know you, he is very friendly, affectionate, and loving. He enjoys hugs and pets from the people he trusts and will even nudge your hand with his nose to show you exactly where he would like to be scratched.

Sega is house trained and crate trained and has very good manners inside the home. For a young Husky, he is surprisingly calm and is often happy relaxing on the couch or spending time in his own space. He is generally quiet but may howl if he is left alone for too long, especially if he becomes bored or wants attention.

Sega enjoys going for walks and will sit by the door when he is ready to go. He does pull when he gets excited, especially at the beginning of a walk, so he would benefit from continued leash training. A harness helps manage his enthusiasm. He knows sit, down, and shake with both paws, and he is still working on stay.

When Sega is bored, he enjoys durable chew toys, tennis balls, and long-lasting chew bones filled with peanut butter. He is also perfectly content chasing a ball around by himself. Sega loves water and sometimes prefers to have a bowl of water available before he will eat.

Sega may be able to live with another calm, friendly dog, but introductions must be done very slowly. The other dog should be non-aggressive and willing to give him space when needed. Sega does show some resource guarding around food when other dogs are present, so he should always be fed separately. His behavior with cats is currently unknown.

Because Sega can be skittish when meeting new people, a home with older, respectful children would likely be the best fit for him. He does not require an experienced Siberian Husky owner, but he will need a patient and understanding family that will allow him time to adjust and build trust.

Sega does well at the veterinarian's office, handles vaccinations without a problem, tolerates shorter baths, and enjoys being brushed. He also likes to sing during car rides and is still learning how to remain calm and settled in the vehicle.

Sega is a sweet, affectionate old soul who is looking for a calm and loving home. With patience, kindness, and time, he will reward his family with plenty of love, gentle affection, and loyal companionship.

Sega is in a foster home located in Farmington, Mi.
