In honor of Lou Gehrig’s Day, the West Oakland Wings 10U baseball team dedicated their tournament weekend to ALS Awareness and the lives of their loved ones who battled ALS!

With support from families and the community, every hit helped make a difference—MFCI generously donated $100 per hit, and parents added additional contributions along the way.

Together, these young athletes learned a powerful lesson: life is bigger than baseball. Through their effort and generosity, they raised nearly $4,000 for the Mitchell Leland Shaver Foundation and the ALS community.

We are deeply grateful to the players, families, and all donors who made this possible. Your support is making a real impact and showing what community is all about.

We had such a great turnout at our inaugural comedy-night fundraiser for ALS! Thank you One Night Stan’s for hosting us. This event raised money for our community outreach initiatives. The night was full of laughs and community. Great show Wyatt Cote!
