We are in need of 1-2 more people this week to help us pack backpacks. We have 75 more backpacks to get done before Thursday evening.
Hours are 12-4 Wed 9/2 and Thurs 9/3.
Must be able to follow directions and ask questions.
Ages 15+ please.
No children in tow.
We will give community service hours.
Location is Amenia.
We are a little chaotic this week and may be faster paced than our usual laid back pace because we are down to the wire and meeting important deadlines.

We reopened registration for our school supplies so that we can help some additional families. If you are in need of assistance, please complete the form no later than 9/1. We will be distributing in Wingdale, Dover, and Wassaic. The details are in the form.

We will be distributing backpacks in Wingdale on Wed 9/2 for families who registered to receive school supplies.
Orlando Family Hardware Store never disappoints! We are very fortunate that Patrick Orlando & Ildiko Ildiko not only generously donate to our school supply drive, but they also allow us to use their parking lot to distribute our backpacks on "Wingdale night".

Forgot to take photos. It's been so hectic. We distributed backpacks and school suppies to the Millbrook Educational Foundation and the Millbrook Library for their amazing support this year. We look forward to helping Millbrook families again next year. Thank you, also to the Millbrook Rotary for their advice and guidance as we opened our program to the Millbrook School District.

Looking for 1-2 more volunteers for tomorrow, Sunday 8/30, to help pack backpacks. Time will be 3pm until approximately 8pm.
Prefer adults this time or teens who have already volunteered with us. We will be unloading my van, unboxing, inventorying, then packing backpacks in Amenia. Please no children in tow. There's too much going on in a small area. Text Maryalyce for info (845) 244-0844. Thank you!

We are absolutely desperate for wide ruled marble or composition notebooks. We still need abt 100 of them. The piles looked so big until we were packing them up. If you are able to donate any, Staples has them for $0.50 ea, but there's a limit to 30 per person. We really need them in hand before Monday so we can work on the backpacks for Dover & Wingdale. They can be dropped off to us this weekend at the Wassaic Commons Farmers Market. We are a little crazy to be running around this week. They can also be dropped off to us in Amenia on the days when we are packing supplies or to Maryalyce in Wassaic.

If you registered your family to receive school supplies through us, and you had originally chosen to pick up in Wingdale or Dover Plains, please check your emails and text messages. Wingdale & Dover distributions have been rescheduled due to a delay in getting donations in. Please reply to the email or the text. Maryalyce & Laura are contacting everyone. We have reached out to everyone, but have not heard back from many of you. Thank you so much for your patience.
