Our own Libby Baker will share the remarkable story of Enoch Crosby, including a glimpse at his original will, framed and on display at our chapter meeting house. The program will be facilitated by Deborah Oswald, Ed.D., Executive Director of the Southeast Museum.

Great to join members of the Daughters of the American Revolution (Enoch Crosby Chapter) on the steps of the Historic Putnam County Courthouse to commemorate their 100th anniversary.

As a proud member of the Sons of the American Revolution, it made the moment even more meaningful to reflect on the legacy of those who fought for our independence.

Grateful for DAR’s continued commitment to preserving our history, and for their generous $1,000 contribution to support the restoration of the Sybil Ludington statue.

Thanks to a strong public-private partnership, more than $100,000 has already been committed to this important project. We look forward to restoring this historic landmark in time for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

And thank you to our County Historian Jennifer Cassidy and our Department of Public Works for helping move this effort forward. 🇺🇸

Today we honor the birth of George Washington, commander of the Continental Army and the first President of the United States.

His leadership during the American Revolution and his example of service to the new Republic set a standard that continues to shape our nation.

As members of the Enoch Crosby Chapter, NSDAR, we proudly remember the legacy of courage, integrity, and devotion to liberty that began with our first President.

Today we honor Presidents’ Day by remembering that the presidency itself was born from the American Revolution.

When George Washington took the oath of office, he set a lasting example of service, restraint, and devotion to the Republic.

As members of the Enoch Crosby Chapter, NSDAR, we remain committed to preserving the history and principles that formed our nation — and to honoring the leadership that continues to guide it.
