The ACLU Women's Rights Project amended a lawsuit by the Service Women's Action Network condemning the Army and Marine policy of "Leaders First," which prohibits junior enlisted women from being included in combat battalions until two or more "women leaders" have joined such units.

The filing claimed James Mattis and John Kelly have demonstrated an "animus toward women soldiers."

A female sergeant with the British Army's Special Reconnaissance Regiment is being lauded as the U.K.'s "GI Jane" after reportedly killing at least three Islamic State militants after an intelligence mission went awry in September.

"She reacted in the way the special forces are trained to do when they are involved in close quarter battle. She had her colleagues' backs throughout the firefight and no doubt saved lives."

Under fire and armed with an MP5K, she killed “at least three” Islamic State militants after an intel mission went sideways.

On December 12, 2017, the Brazilian Federal Senate passed a bill allowing women to join the Brazilian Navy!

"According to the approved law, women may now be allowed to participate in the operational activities of the Navy and to be integrated into the Navy and the Marine Corps, which were hitherto restricted to men only."

Captain Jamila Malafa became the first female of Northern extraction to become a one-star general!

The Nigerian Navy on Monday decorated Navy Captain Jamila Malafa with her promoted rank of Commodore, equivalent with army rank of Brigadier General, making her the first female of Northern extraction to become a one-star general.
