📢CALL FOR ABSTRACTS!

Do you drive innovative research in a collaborative, multidisciplinary hub? The ACS Younger Chemists Committee would like to invite you to present your work at the Early Career Leaders in Interdisciplinary Research Centers Symposium. This symposium will highlight cutting edge research from large-scale collaborative projects and how to successfully leverage the expansive network of of a large research center to advance your career. This symposium will take place in-person during ACS Spring 2027 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Please submit abstracts by following the link in the flyer and clicking "Submit an Abstract" at the top or bottom of the page.

Are you a young chemist who wants to develop your leadership skills?

The ACS YCC Leadership Development Award may be for you!

This competitive award covers travel and lodging costs for 15 ACS members to participate in the ACS Young Chemist Leadership Development Workshop at the ACS Leadership Institute, which is designed to help young chemists develop into highly skilled leaders in the Society and in their chosen profession.

Participants will explore the behaviors and characteristics exhibited by effective leaders at any level. Potential leadership opportunities, both within and outside the workplace, will be discussed, and personal plans for improving leadership skills will be developed.

📢 ACS YCC CIBA Travel Award

Are you an early-career chemist presenting at a 2026 ACS Fall Regional Meeting and need additional travel funding? Apply for the 2026 ACS YCC Fall CIBA Travel Award by Aug 1! The application process is simple and should take less than two hours to prepare materials, including your CV/resume, a short essay about why you should receive the award, and details about your accepted abstract.

To be eligible, you must: be an ACS member, be under 40, be in a post-doctoral position OR in the first 7 years of your professional career, and not have received a prior award through the program. Students are not eligible for this award.
