We thank the service members in the Hospital Corps who have dedicated their efforts in the care of our Sailors and Marines in military hospitals, ships, and all over the world. It’s R.E.D. Friday, Remember Everyone Deployed….

On Fridays we choose to wear red to show our support for our brave men and women on deployment.

We also remember and support our military that are stationed overseas. They may not be deployed but their sacrifice of time with family and friends is just as great. They sometimes go a year or longer of being away from their loved ones.

Until they all come home!

A small gesture can make a huge statement.

Have a great weekend-be well, be safe, take care of each other. Chicagoland Blue Star Mothers

Today is Women Veterans Day where we honor and thank all women who have served in our military. On this day in 1948, President Truman signed the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act which legally permitted women to serve in all branches of the military. We are so thankful for your bravery, commitment to serve, and salute you today and everyday. Chicagoland Blue Star Mothers

Eighty two years ago today the Allied Forces landed at the beaches of Normandy in France which led to the liberation of Western Europe from N**i Germany occupation. Ahead of landing at Normandy, General Dwight Eisenhower told his American troops, “You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these past months. The eyes of the world are upon you.” We will never forget the greatest generation’s bravery in this fight. You saved the world and we are forever indebted to your service.
