The Chicagoland Blue Star Mothers Chapter was chartered in January 2016. We support each other while promoting patriotism and supporting our troops & vets.

We are women who have adult children serving, or who have served, in any branch of the US military.

Today we honor all men and women who have been deployed and are currently deployed in the service of our country. We are so very grateful for their commitment to our country. Let’s all remember and hold dear the sacrifice they make as well as family members while their loved ones are deployed. Chicagoland Blue Star Mothers 🇺🇸❤️

It’s R.E.D. Friday, Remember Everyone Deployed….

On Fridays we choose to wear red to show our support for our brave men and women on deployment.

We also remember and support our military that are stationed overseas. They may not be deployed but their sacrifice of time with family and friends is just as great. They sometimes go a year or longer of being away from their loved ones.

Until they all come home!

A small gesture can make a huge statement.

Happy 251st birthday to the U.S. Navy! Our incredible Navy was the first to launch a submarine, use modern battleships, and to use aircraft carriers. The U.S. Navy is the largest and most capable navy in the world. Happy birthday and thank you to all the men and women who are currently serving in the Navy! Chicagoland Blue Star Mothers

Today is Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s day where we honor and remember moms and families who have lost a son or daughter while serving for the United States Armed Forces. Their children gave the ultimate sacrifice in defending our country while they suffered immeasurable loss. We remember and these mothers and families and lift them up with our love and support. September 17th-23rd is Constitution Week where we commemorate the adoption of our U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. Let’s celebrate our constitution as it formed the foundation of our government and democracy. Chicagoland Blue Star Mothers

Today is National POW/MIA Recognition Day where we honor those who were held captive and those who remain missing. Our nation has been honoring this day since 1979 to remember, stand behind our servicemembers, and to make sure our Nation does everything it can to account for those who have not returned.
