Active Assailant Youth Safety Summit!

GSQ Coaches Jessica Linden and Bailey Stephens attended the Active Assailant Youth Safety Summit in Detroit, where they connected with early learning programs and other professionals.

The summit featured safety training for early childhood, faith-based, and community organizations. It was a great opportunity to build connections, share resources, and strengthen our commitment to keeping children, staff, and communities safe.

Thank you to the organizers for bringing professionals together to promote safety, awareness, and emergency preparedness!

2026 MAC Leadership Summit

Great Start to Quality (GSQ) was happy to join the 2026 MAC Leadership Summit at the Riverfront Conference Center in Flint!

This year’s theme, Grounded and Growing: Rooted in Purpose, focused on reconnecting with why this work matters, building relationships, sharing ideas, and growing together.

Our Quality Improvement Coaches, Jenny Maynard and Jennifer Wacker, pictured below, enjoyed connecting with teachers, directors, and other professionals while sharing information and resources to support their early learning programs.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table! We appreciate the opportunity to connect, share resources, and support Michigan’s early childhood and out-of-school time professionals.
