The Lightning Bots FIRST Team 2010

The Lightning Bots FIRST Team 2010 We're FIRST FRC Team 2010, The Lightning Bots, from Champion, OH. We’re a FIRST Robotics team from Champion, OH. We have been a team since 2006-2007.

Each year, we build a robot based on a game created by FIRST and compete with other FRC teams from around the world. Along with building robots, we also make it our duty to teach and excite our community about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). We host community events and volunteer at local events. In 2014, we worked with other local NEOFRA teams to host the first ever Mahoning Va

lley Robotics Challenge. This off-season competition brought teams from our area and surrounding states into one high school. With this, we also drew in our community to experience an FRC competition right at home. Our main motivation is to make our community as excited about the program as we are. We typically attend two competitions each year. All competitions are free to attend. We hope to see you there! We appreciate all of the support!

Proud mentor moments: When one of your students decides to wear a self-made name tag that says "I know ASL", people take notice. Team member Rui was approached by the volunteers of the Greater Pittsburgh Regional and asked if they were willing to interpret for opening ceremonies. Scripts were soon in hand and with lots of practice, went on camera this morning! Catch Rui interpreting at the opening and closing ceremonies both today and tomorrow on the Livestream!
