Since 2018, our volunteer-driven center has been a hub for fitness and events in Walnut, Iowa. With state-of-the-art equipment and versatile spaces for gatherings of all sizes, we’re your go-to venue for everything from family parties to business meetings!

The Walnut Community Center lost a very special member of our Walnut Community Center Foundation family with the passing of Donnie Bauerkemper. ❤️

Donnie was one of those people who was simply always there. He checked on the building every day, spent countless hours cleaning, Zamboniing the gym floors, washing all the towels, watering flowers, serving drinks at The Nut Bar, and helped wherever and whenever he was needed.

So much of what Donnie did happened quietly, behind the scenes, but it made a difference every single day. We will miss seeing him around the WCC, his helping hand, and most of all, his friendship.

Donnie’s visitation will be held in Cardinal Hall at the Walnut Community Center on Wednesday from 4:00–7:00 p.m.

Our hearts are with Gaylean and the entire Bauerkemper family. ❤️

🎉 It's a Busy Weekend at the Walnut Community Center! 🎉

We've got a full schedule of events this weekend, and we'd love to see you here!

🎶 Friday, August 7 – Warriors for ALS Join us beginning at 5:30 PM for an evening of great food, entertainment, and fundraising featuring Voices For A Cure with host Diane Stamp. Enjoy a free-will donation pulled pork & nacho meal, browse the silent auction, and help support an incredible cause. 100% of the proceeds benefit the ALS Association.

Can't make it Friday? You can still support the cause by joining the 26' ALS Silent Auction Facebook group and placing bids on their amazing auction baskets!

🍻 The Nut Bar will be OPEN throughout the evening!

🛎️ Sunday, August 9 – Osborn Auction
Osborn Auction will be hosting the Warren & Nancy Winterhof Household, Antique & Collectible Auction right here at the WCC.

Doors open: 10:30 AM

Auction begins: Noon

The Walnut Community Center Foundation will have concessions available starting at 10:30 AM, so come hungry and spend the day with us!
