打造兼具關懷與包容的學習環境!恭喜社會組第一名得主 Bohsuen Ho!
Bohsuen 所設計的感恩主題教案,一開始透過 Sharing Circle(分享圈),邀請學生回想自己曾向他人說「謝謝」的經驗,從自身生活出發探索感恩,而非僅停留在抽象概念。接著,課程選用奧斯卡提名短片《FOREVERGREEN》,透過樹與熊彼此照顧、無私付出的故事,引導學生思考愛、奉獻與感恩的價值。影片不僅感人,更為後續討論奠定深刻的情感基礎。
課程最後,學生親手製作松果感恩禮物(Pinecone Art),並將作品送給自己想感謝的人,讓感恩不只是口頭表達,而是化為一份看得見、摸得著的心意。學生還會為自己設定一項感恩行動,並在接下來的一週付諸實踐,讓品格教育走出教室、融入生活,真正落實於日常點滴之中。
Bohsuen 目前就讀於 Boston College 課程與教學研究所碩士班,長期關注如何透過社會情緒學習(SEL)支持不同背景的學生,並致力於打造兼具關懷、同理與包容的學習環境。

Creating a Learning Environment with Care and Inclusion! Congratulations to Bo-Hsuen Ho, the First-Place Winner in the Character Education Advocates Group!
In Bohsuen’s lesson plan, students begin by participating in a “Sharing Circle”, where they reflect on their own experiences of saying “thank you” to others. This activity encourages them to explore the meaning of gratitude through personal experiences rather than viewing it as an abstract concept.
The lesson then features the Oscar-nominated short film “FOREVERGREEN”. Through the touching story of a tree and a bear who care for one another and give selflessly, students are guided to reflect on the values of love, generosity, and gratitude. The film not only captures students’ attention but also provides a meaningful emotional foundation for deeper discussion and reflection.
To conclude the lesson, students create their own pinecone gratitude gifts and present them to someone they wish to thank. This hands-on activity transforms gratitude from a simple verbal expression into a tangible act of appreciation. Students also commit to carrying out a specific act of gratitude during the following week, extending character education beyond the classroom and into their daily lives.
Bo-hsuen is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Boston College. She is passionate about supporting students from diverse backgrounds through Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and is dedicated to creating learning environments that foster care, empathy, and inclusion.
