Precision Agriculture Week at Walnut Grove.

Last week, students in Shop were able to see how precision ag is being used across SWMO and the career fields open to them. Thank you to MFA, MU Extension, and ST-Mil Dairy for coming to speak about how they use precision agriculture in their day-to-day jobs. Students were given the opportunity to fly a drone, inspect a variable rate spreader, see heat monitoring in dairy herds, and demonstrate how virtual fencing works in cattle.

2026-2027 FFA T-Shirts Sign-Up:
For any parents or community members, please use the attached Google Form to request a $15 chapter FFA t-shirt. Officers designed this year's shirt at officer retreat in May. All FFA members will be receiving a shirt, so you do not need to put their size in here, but we would love to see parents and supporters wearing these throughout the year!
Orders and money are due by Thursday, September 17. You can pay cash or check (made out to the WG FFA) at the High School office.

Open House is over, so that can only mean one thing—summer is officially over! Here are some snapshots from what our FFA members have been up to this summer.

Throughout the summer, students have been working on their supervised agriculture education projects, earning money and experience. Officers had their retreat in southern MO in May. FFA Camp in June. Ozark Empire Fair in July.

Bell rings at 8AM on Tuesday!

The American Degree list is out! Less than two percent of FFA members receive the highest degree National FFA awards. Congrats to Walnut Grove’s Brittany Anderson, who will be receiving her American Degree in Indianapolis in October. Well done, Brittany!
