Ella will be attending the FCCLA National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Washington, D.C. this July, where she will compete in the Fashion Construction STAR Event. We are so proud of her hard work, creativity, and dedication to stepping out of her comfort zone, and we can’t wait to see her represent us on the national stage! 8th grade FCS students wrapped up the year with a homemade pizza lab! Students practiced kitchen safety, teamwork, food preparation skills, and creativity while making their own pizzas from scratch.

Our Housing & Interior Design students brought their creativity to life with these incredible “Box Room” projects!

Each student designed and constructed a miniature room to showcase their understanding of the elements and principles of design! From cozy bedrooms to modern living spaces, every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed.

Our Advanced Foods seniors wrapped up their final culinary capstone lab this week!
Each student worked independently to prepare a recipe for their peers. They had to narrate what the were doing in real time. All while being evaluated on a range of culinary skills and techniques by their peers. From time management, flavor balance, safety and sanitation, they truly put their learning into action.

It has been incredible to see the creativity, confidence, and growth these students have developed throughout the year. The kitchens have been full of energy, teamwork, and some seriously impressive dishes!

Take a look at a few highlights from this week’s capstone lab—these seniors should be proud of all they’ve accomplished.
