Here's a recap from our meeting last week and info on the 2 upcoming events.
1. On Wednesday, February 5th we will be selling walking taco and cookie meals at the boys/girls Super Night home basketball games. Games start at 5pm, so we will plan on being ready to sell by 5:00 until around 8:30pm or sold out. We will need volunteers to prepare the ingredients (brown hamburger meat, cook chicken, chop tomatoes, onions, etc). Proj Grad will purchase all ingredients and cookies (unless someone wants to volunteer to make cookies). Then we will need people to setup, serve and cleanup in 3 shifts: 4:30-5:45, 5:45-7:15 and 7:15-8:30ish. 3 per shift should be plenty and can be seniors or parents, but we need to encourage the kids to get involved too!
2. Men In Tights is our last event and it's a fun one!! It will be on Saturday, February 8th. Doors open at 5:30pm, games start at 6pm. We will be running the concession stand and also selling walking taco meals again. So we will again need ingredients prepped and then volunteers to work the entry gate, concession stand and walking taco meal table. Entry gate will just need 1 person from 5:30-7:00pm. Then concession and meal volunteers can be 2 shifts, 5:30-7:00pm and 7:00-8:30pm. We will need 3-4 in concessions and 2-3 at the meal table. We also need senior volleyball players or others familiar with volleyball rules to volunteer to be line judges (2 per game).
