We thank the Lord for those who attended the MOP training at Greenwood Hills Camp and Conference Center.

It was a wonderful opportunity for believers in various seasons of life to come together for a week of learning about missions. Some attended to continue growing as they serve, others came to prepare for cross-cultural ministry, and still others—eager to serve—are seeking the Lord’s guidance for their next steps.

Reaching Higher 2026 | Entrusted: Hold Fast

Reaching Higher is a retreat for young adults with a heart for missions and a desire to grow deeper in your walk with the Lord.

This year’s theme, “Entrusted: Hold Fast,” will challenge us to faithfully steward what God has entrusted to us and remain steadfast in our calling.

Expect a weekend of biblical teaching, meaningful fellowship, and encouragement to keep serving faithfully where God has placed you. Come be refreshed, challenged, and encouraged as we seek to follow God’s purpose together.

We hope to see you there!

Chad is home to more than 200 ethnic groups and over 130 languages. Yet many people still do not have access to Scripture in their own language.

This is where Jim Roberts’ ministry plays an important role. Through linguistic support, Jim assists Bible translation teams as they analyze languages, develop grammatical structures, and create the tools needed to accurately translate God’s Word.

By helping equip translators with the linguistic foundation necessary for their work, Jim is contributing to a long-term effort to make Scripture accessible to communities that have never had it in their heart language.

Pray that the Lord would continue to strengthen and guide those involved in Bible translation throughout Chad, and that many more people would one day be able to read, understand, and share God’s Word in their own language.

Please pray for believers and missionaries serving in Zambia following reports of a suspected Ebola-related case connected to travel from the DRC.

While initial rapid tests have returned negative, confirmatory testing is still underway, and health officials are proceeding with caution. At this time, 70 people in Luanshya and nearby Ndola are under 21-day daily monitoring for symptoms and temperature, though no secondary symptoms have been reported.

Several provinces, including the Copperbelt region where CMML missionaries serve, are now under heightened national surveillance. Out of caution, some ministry visits and village outreach have already been paused.

Pray for full containment, accurate and timely testing results, protection over affected communities, and wisdom for health officials and missionaries navigating this situation on the ground.

On May 9, 2026, Patrick Carder (MPH Day 7) went home to be with the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Karen Carder. Patrick Carder served in the Philippines and has been served by CMML since 2012. He was involved in evangelism, discipleship, and children’s ministry.
Pray for the family, especially, and all whose lives are impacted by the loss.

The May 2026 issue takes you to several sun-drenched communities in the Dominican Republic. There, members of CMML’s missionary care team spent time with missionaries Manuel and Carmen Medina, Ramón and Elvira Prenza, and Andre and Yanerys Walker. Read the article to discover their observations on the assembly work in the island nation.

The same issue introduces you to a bilingual Christian library in Ecuador and a new worker serving refugees in France. Also, an elder and father presents thoughts on nurturing missionaries, and CMML’s youth engagement representative reports on this year’s 26 Below retreats.

Find these articles and more in the print issue delivered to your mailbox, or access selected content on our website. If you aren’t already a Missions subscriber, sign up online.
