Please join the Tides of Change Gala Executive Committee in congratulating Harsh Parmar, M.D., the recipient of our Medical Professional of the Year Award! Dr. Parmar specializes in the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma and other plasma cell disorders, such as amyloidosis and Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia at the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center. We are thrilled to announce Mr. Pete Mills and AT&T as the recipient of the Corporate Visionary of the Year Award! For the past 25 years, the AT&T Campus in Middletown has supported Relay For Life; Pete has been a team captain over that span and has coordinated the AT&T teams for the past 10 years. Together, they have raised $450,00 to $500,000 to support the fight against cancer. This remarkable achievement reflects the generosity of the wonderful people at AT&T, along with their friends and families, and we look forward to honoring Pete and his team on November 14! Dr. Eltoukhy is a member of the RWJBarnabas Health multidisciplinary team of physicians who treat hematologic malignancies. He has had an incredible impact in the field of cancer care and the American Cancer Society is excited to honor him for his longstanding commitment to cancer patients and their families at the 16th Annual Tides of Change Gala. Our Story

The American Cancer Society’s Tides of Change Gala is an inspiring event that unites the Jersey Shore Community in the fight against cancer. This event supports those who have battled cancer, honors those who have made important contributions to the oncology field, and raises funds to provide our critical patient programs and services. Join us for an evening of cocktails, dinner, dancing, silent auction and casino games!

For over 100 years, the Society has attacked cancer from every angle by focusing on research to find effective treatments and cures, education to prevent cancer and detect it early, advocacy to enact laws that protect public health, and service to help patients and caregivers access care and support throughout their journey.

Cancer touches so many people in our community, but it’s only when we join together that we will finish the fight. The Tides of Change Gala serves as the cornerstone of the American Cancer Society's annual fundraising efforts in the Jersey Shore Community. Together with our dedicated volunteers, we are fighting cancer smarter, better and harder than we ever have before.
