Dear Beloved Nature School Community,
We write to you today with open hearts and a bittersweet update. After deep reflection and many heavy conversations, our family and organization have made the difficult decision to sell both our home and the nature school property.
To put it simply—we can no longer afford to sustain it. While this land has held our dreams so tenderly, it has become clear that continuing to carry the financial weight of the property/house is no longer viable for our family or the long-term health of our mission.
Thankfully, our chosen family at Haven Farm—who have supported us with open arms over the past 3+ years—are embracing us once again through our trials. We will be transitioning all of our nature school programming to their land moving forward.
So many of you have stood with us since the beginning: cheering us on as we left our jobs to bring this dream to life, and celebrating when we found this breathtaking lakeside property with space for permaculture gardens and visions of a schoolhouse. We’ve shared so many sacred moments on this land. It will always hold a piece of our hearts.
And yet, not everything unfolded the way we imagined. It has been a tender, often challenging journey to stay financially afloat, especially while continuing to provide accessible programs and scholarships for families in need. We are committed to continuing this support wherever we can—but to do so, we must make choices rooted in sustainability.
In the end, we were faced with a choice: keep the house/property… or keep the mission alive.
And we chose you.
This community, these children, the sacred work we do together—this is the real dream. Though this land too is sacred and beautiful, it could ever compare to this mission and its magic we’ve cultivated together. Our hearts remain rooted in the soil of this shared vision, and that will continue to blossom wherever we go.
Beginning June 1st, all of our nature school programs will be held at Haven Farm. It’s a space we know and love deeply, one that offers abundant forest trails, a beautiful creek, and many of the same rich, nature-immersed experiences we’ve always cherished.
We thank you deeply for believing in us through every season. We invite you to continue walking with us as we enter this new chapter—more rooted in connection, clarity, and resilience than ever before.
