Our vision is a community where every animal is cared for. Visiting our sanctuary is by appointment only. Thank you!

FAT CAT RESCUE is a 501C3 licensed rescue for all types of animals who are lucky enough to come through our doors. We have received our 501C3 non-profit tax status and now all donations are tax deductible. When cats come to us they may be sick and skinny, but by the time we've loved them up they have become Fat Cats with healthy bodies, higher self esteem, greater trust in humans and a joy of living they haven't experienced in a long time if ever. So when we call a cat "Fat" we mean healthy and happy in every way possible.

Here’s a little cat trivia: Cats have scent glands between their paw pads! When they scratch a post, they leave behind an invisible scent message along with those claw marks. It’s their own little “I was here.”

🌸 Mama Poppy is FINALLY ready for her close-up!🌸

Remember those five adorable little garden sprouts we introduced a while back? Freesia, Juniper, Zinnia, Yucca, and Bamboo?

Well, it's time to meet the beautiful lady who started it all!

Meet POPPY!❤️

We've been promising you that Mama Poppy was a beauty, and now that she's had her spa day and is looking fabulous, she's ready to make her grand debut!

This gorgeous tuxedo mama isn't just a pretty face. She's an absolute sweetheart who loves being petted and cuddling with her people.

After bringing five precious little lives into the world and caring for her babies, we think Poppy deserves a little pampering of her own. A cozy bed, plenty of affection, and a family to call hers forever sound just about perfect!

Her exact age is still being determined, but one thing we know for sure is that this sweet mama has lots of love to give.

Let's help Poppy find a home where she can be the baby for a change!

Ramen had a whole rescue full of people who adored her. Now she has a home to call her own. ❤️

This sweet senior holds a special place in so many of our volunteers’ hearts. Through every hardship, Ramen remained her happy, loving self, always ready to share the sweetness that made everyone fall for her.

A few months ago, our wonderful volunteer Julie welcomed Ramen into her home as a foster to adopt. Now it’s official. Ramen is family.

She has already gained a pound, and these photos say so much about her life with Julie. Stretched out for a peaceful nap or tucked close to her mom, our girl looks right where she belongs.

Julie, thank you for loving someone who means so much to all of us. We’re grateful that Ramen gets to spend her senior years surrounded by your love and care.

Happy forever, sweet Ramen. You are home. ❤️

🍁 Fall has a special kind of magic at Fat Cat Rescue & Sanctuary. 🍂

The leaves are changing, the air is getting crisp, and our little corner of the world is showing off its autumn colors.

There's something so peaceful about this time of year. The beauty of the trees, the rustling leaves, and, of course, the cats who make this place so special. From our feral residents enjoying the changing seasons in Kitty City to the cozy spaces throughout the sanctuary, there's beauty around every corner.

For so many of our cats, Fat Cat isn't just a place to stay. It's home. A place where they are safe, cared for, and loved, no matter the season.

We thought we'd share a little autumn beauty from our home to yours. ❤️🐾

Born around July 2, 2026, this little girl needed a little extra time before we introduced her. Now she’s getting her own moment in the spotlight and a chance to find a family to call her own.

Pumpkin has found a forever home with our very own Diane! 🧡

Diane helps some of our tiniest kittens grow strong through bottle feeding and gives sick kittens the care they need to get healthy. This time, one sweet orange kitten stole her heart and earned a permanent place in her home.

Congratulations on your foster fail, Diane! Thank you for all the love you give our kittens, and for making Pumpkin officially family.

Sabrina has been adopted!

Our beautiful little tabby went home today! Sabrina was a shy girl who needed extra patience and encouragement, and her foster mom, Mary Kate, worked hard to help her gain confidence.

Goodbyes are especially hard when you've invested so much time helping a kitty learn to trust. But Sabrina landed in wonderful hands, with a former patient of Mary Kate's!

A big thank you to Mary Kate for all the love and dedication she poured into Sabrina's journey.

Congratulations to Sabrina and her new family! Wishing her a smooth transition and a lifetime of happiness.

Harry Potter has found his Ginny, but they still haven't found their forever home! ❤️🐾

These two adorable best friends are still waiting for someone to fall in love with them!

Harry is a handsome young tabby boy, and Ginny is his beautiful tabby and white companion. They're a bonded pair, which means they're looking for a family who will love them both.
