Our next open house, October 3rd, features a presentation by Janet Eppers about life before Electricity and plumbing. She will have many of her antiques on display. There will also be an apple c***r press demonstration. This will be an outdoor event so you may want to bring a chair. Hope to see you there...

ONLY IN NEWPORT TOWNSHIP... During the 1908 Browe School Reunion, Andrew Herberger crawled under the old schoolhouse to retrieve a baseball bat that he hid there 48 years earlier. The feat was met with applause from the crowd of around 300 who attended the reunion.

This year’s Shanty car show was a huge success in every way, lots of cars, lots of visitors, good music, good food, and good friends, a really great show. The Newport Township Historical Society wants to thank Dimitri, North Shore Rods and all the participants that made it a successful fundraiser for our charity.
