Youth Connection Waco Youth Connection Waco is a 501c(3) Non-profit organization located in Waco, Texas. Using schedules of real infants, these behaviors occur unpredictably.

Since 1988, we've worked to help at-risk in Waco and McLennan County succeed with our after-school programs, RealCare Baby Project, and teen mother visits. Our primary services include:


REAL CARE BABY PROJECT
This program helps young men and women make responsible, informed choices about becoming parents. The Real Care Baby cries and needs regular feeding, burping, diapering, and rocking. Daily

care schedules are programmed into a box in the “baby’s” back. Middle and high school students care for the life-like baby for a period ranging from two days to one week. There are also “babies” that show the affects of fetal alcohol syndrome, drugs and shaking a baby. ANNUAL CONFERENCEs
Youth Connection hosts “Moving Forward: Effective Ways to Reach Our Youth” each spring for professionals who work with youth. It covers new programs, methods and strategies to use with at-risk teens.

Today was a successful day, as we hosted our annual Making Choices, Youth Conference. Nine different schools and nearly 200 students attended. Jamar Root from Teen Truth delivered an inspirational keynote, empowering students to identify pressures, find their voices, and take action to make a difference. The morning session featured an interactive workshop where students gained a deeper understanding of challenges affecting student mental health and learned techniques to support themselves and others. The afternoon session helped students discover their passions and turn their dreams into reality. Thank you to our sponsors, Uncle Worms, Newks and The Exchange Event Center for a great day.
