Week 1 of Football is in the books, and the Heart O’ Texas renewal season is also underway!

Units, it’s time to make your first big play: submit your Charter Partner Agreement by September 30!

Getting the agreement signed and turned in keeps your unit moving down the field toward a successful renewal. Remember, ***only*** the Chartered Organization Representative’s signature is needed on CPA’s. Email [email protected] if you need a District-Specific copy or help turning in the form.

The renewal portals open on November 1, and Renewals are due November 13.

Troop 494 is gearing up for an upcoming Eagle Scout Project and would like to request your support in spreading the word and gathering the necessary supplies. Any and all youth and adult support would be very appreciated for this community service effort!

Project Details
Date: Saturday, August 22
Time: 8:00 AM
Location: Doris Miller Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4800 Memorial Drive, Waco, TX 76711, between buildings 7 and 8.

Pre-Workday Goal: If possible, they would like to pressure wash the site the day before the main project date (Friday, August 21) to prep the area. Please let Megan Tousignant (contact info below) know if you or your scouts are available to assist with this early prep.

Materials Needed
Painting drop cloths
Paint rollers
Paint brushes
Pressure washers
Helping hands (volunteers of all skill levels are welcome!)

Please forward this information to your scouts and families so they can secure the needed headcount and equipment. If units or individuals are able to loan any of the requested tools, please contact Megan Tousignant at 832-768-6993, or email [email protected] in advance so she can keep track of inventory.
