The IBEW is calling on all members to mobilize now and urge their members of Congress to oppose any bills that impose bans on data center construction and to instead support strong labor standards for these projects.

As Congress considers policies related to the expansion of data centers, some proposals would halt construction entirely. Such bans would eliminate critical opportunities for union workers and stunt much-needed economic growth in communities across the country.

When built responsibly, data centers mean high-quality union construction jobs, significant tax revenue, and long-term economic development. For IBEW members, these projects result in steady work, high wages, and career opportunities in a booming industry.

John Mauro, a loyal Brother, a hard-working and talented craftsman, and a friend to anyone he meets, unexpectedly lost his father. John's dad, an almost 40-year member of IBEW Local Union 3, was a General Foreman for most of his career, played a major role in the construction of the Yankees Stadium (2009), and played a pivotal part during and after the devastating 9/11 attacks. Any amount you can spare will go to support this amazing family, including his lovely bride, 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and many more.
