It's Family Feature Friday! ✨
Today we highlight a new family that started our program this August. In their last home visit, their parent educator did a porcupine activity with the enrolled child. The porcupine had different textures on the back, giving the child the opportunity to explore the different textures with touch. The textures were also in various colors, which were also explored by stating how many colors were seen and what those colors were. Mom engaged with the child by helping him explore, asking questions, and discussing all the different textures he felt. It was a fun sensory activity mom and child enjoyed interacting with one another and learning together. Thank you for choosing HOPES! 💙
¡Es el Viernes de la familia! ✨
Hoy queremos destacar a una nueva familia que comenzó nuestro programa en Agosto. En su última visita al hogar, su educadora llevó una actividad con un puercoespín para al niño inscrito. El puercoespín tenía diferentes texturas en el lomo, lo que le dio al niño la oportunidad de explorar esas texturas mediante el tacto. Las texturas también eran de distintos colores, que se exploraron preguntando cuántos colores se veían y cuáles eran esos colores. La madre participó con el niño ayudándole a explorar, haciéndole preguntas y comentando todas las diferentes texturas que notaba. Fue una divertida actividad sensorial en la que madre e hijo disfrutaron interactuando entre sí y aprendiendo juntos. ¡Gracias por elegir HOPES! 💙
