Helping neighbors in crisis by meeting human needs, including shelter, food pantry, meals, utility assistance, clothing vouchers, free drug/alcohol rehab centers, and more. Volunteer Opportunities: Go to The Salvation Army Waco Website and click Give Your Time to register for Community Kitchen service or Family Store Service. Thrift Store: shop/donate/volunteer: Mon-Sat, 9am-5pm (drive-up donatio

n center open until 4:30 pm). Social Services: Mon-Thurs, 8:30am-4:30pm for food pantry, rental, utility, and rehousing help, clothing vouchers, hygiene or baby supplies & other emergency assistance. Community Kitchen: 300 Webster Ave, Waco, free meals 365 days a year. Breakfast daily at 7am (Sundays 8am). Dinner nightly at 5:30pm. Lunch Mon & Tues at noon. Opens as a warming & cooling center during extreme weather. To volunteer, sign up on The Salvation Army Waco website. Emergency Shelters: Men @ 300 Webster Ave, check-in 6:30pm and women & families @ 524 S 4th St., check-in 2:30pm. Free Drug & Alcohol Rehab Centers

Summer heat doesn’t affect everyone the same way, and extreme heat puts our most vulnerable neighbors at risk.

A broken AC, a home without shade, or a night without relief can turn a heat wave into a crisis.

That’s why this season matters, and The Salvation Army is stepping in to offer cool spaces, water, utility bill assistance, and support for neighbors who need help staying safe this summer. ☀️
